We knew we had won only because we saw the Ole Miss Side players erupt. Monday morning i was on the front page of the Daily Mississippian with my hands in the air!!! I still have that picture and i threw my lucky flask on the field to celebrate.
I was watching on the old Jefferson Pilot Broadcast, Sept 1990. Arkansas had no time outs left and only 10 seconds remained in the game. Chose the option. The TB was a powerful runner and he was stretching for the goal line after being hit-- but All-SEC safety Chris Mitchell hit him before he could cross the goal line, turning him parallel. He hadn't made it and he had not got out of bounds, a 1/2 yard away... so the last seconds ticked off and Ole Miss won. Knocked Mitchell out
