Thank you ceb2633 for posting this excellent duet ,Both Jose and Ingvar were in great voice. How underrated Ingvar is IMO.

Kudos to Philips Recorda and to Sir Colin Davis for engaging a vocally well-matched sextet of principals for this recording (in addition to Carreras and Wixell, the recording also features Katia Ricciarelli, Ashley Putnam, Robert Lloyd, and - well, I've forgotten who recorded Schaunard!) - and, for that matter, singers who had sung with each other and with Davis. Thank you VERY much for sharing this gem from the past with us!!!

Ingvar Wixell sings over Jose Carreras to much, they should have got a stronger tenor.
