  • lol mine did that too. was going to put a toyota axle under it for more strength and gear choices but decided to stick with the weak mazda axles lol. wish i had gotten a vid of my axle. was terrible lol

  • @nitrojoe9 your American Mazda "axles" might be weak, but the NZ and OZ ones are significantly bigger - the same as your 2600 diff units. Mine blew solely because it had no oil in it! :-)

  • @fredio54 lol not fair. you aussies and nz guys get all they cool stuff. my dirtbike over there is tuned to the wild side stock compared to mine. i only just now built my bike to the stock specs of one of aussie's drz 400

  • Can this be repaired with new bearngs? Or is the housing chewed up? Or do you have to replace the entire rear end?

  • Could be, but would rather just get a whole new head. Funnily enough, that is today's mission. The head-housing is slightly damanged where the seal sits, but you could force it back into service if you really needed to.

  • bahahahahahah gd shit gd fuckn shit go hard or not at all lol gota catch up and show you some of my mental toys lol my 220 hp starlit lololol

  • The yolks look pretty rusty.

  • If your not breaking shit, your not going fast enough fred.

Bit of JBweld, she'll be good as new ;)

  • Ahhhhh JBweld! I have an item that was repaired with JBweld here in NZ with me :-)

The trouble is, it didn't break because of how fast it is (I built it to handle the power), it broke because I didn't fill it up with oil, only had about half a litre in there instead of one AND a half. Not good for the bearings ;-)

  • Been there and done that with my mistu before. Rebuilt my GSX trans for the 5th time and forgot to put lube in it. Live and learn (and laugh) at your mistakes I suppose.

  • The mistake wasn't the lack of oil, that was intentional, it was forgetting about it after 4 years ;-) I put so little in because the seals on the bearings at the ends of the diff housing aren't installed and I didn't want a mess and was only intending to drive it 1 mile with the 80hp engine. I did that (and some donuts) and parked it up. Worked on it and then totally forgot that it was empty when thrashing it with 5x the power. The 140mph top speed run (redline in 5th) didn't help either :-/
