Hey Tyler, just a quick emulator suggestion for you:
Use the 'save game state' or 'freeze state' feature, or something like that, found in the drop down menues. It will save your game EXACTLY at that point (even if you don't go to a 'save point', though that's cheating, TBH). You then can 'thaw' or whatever the save later.

I was so disappointed in the Prop 8 decision. After seeing the repulsive TV adds though, I was not surprised. It kinda killed my excitement for Obama's win.
But the fight isn't over. There are already Civil Rights group working to get the decision repealed. We're not giving up until we have equal rights!
Here in Florida we had Proposition #2. It was to "protect marriage as the legal union of one man and one woman..." Unfortunately, it passed. I don't care what my union is called, it doesn't have to be called "marriage." Why did the proposition also state that "no other legal union that is treated as a marriage or the substantial equivalent thereof shall be valid or recgognized." WTF? The last 18 years of my life are invalid...

In Florida, they did write something like that: you need 60% to put it in the Constitution. Unfortunately, the gay marraige ban (which also banned ALL domestic partnerships & civil unions for gay AND straight) got over 60% of the vote. :(

also... Prop 8 is a setback, but it's not a big one. I donated $50, and I'm sad to see that it passed. Obviously we're not going to be able to fight for marriage equality in all 50 states individually, but if we can win in a few states, it might be a catalyst for a larger decision by Congress or the Supreme Court.

Don't worry. Prop 8 is trying to change the Californian Constitution, and it requires a 2/3rds majority for an amendment to change the constitution. I'm excited to see all the religious folks have their spirits crushed when they find this out.
i live in california also and i think prop 8 is unbelievably wrong and disgusting, but my history teacher reminded us yesterday that because prop 8 is so unconstitutional, there's no way it could become an amendment and goes agains the bill of rights.

I was so disappointed in the Prop 8 decision. After seeing the repulsive TV adds though, I was not surprised. It kinda killed my excitement for Obama's win.
But the fight isn't over. There are already Civil Rights group working to get the decision repealed. We're not giving up until we have equal rights!

Here in Florida we had Proposition #2. It was to "protect marriage as the legal union of one man and one woman..." Unfortunately, it passed. I don't care what my union is called, it doesn't have to be called "marriage." Why did the proposition also state that "no other legal union that is treated as a marriage or the substantial equivalent thereof shall be valid or recgognized." WTF? The last 18 years of my life are invalid...

hi...sorry to say Obama is on record that he will NOT endorse gay marriage. point should be the government does not grant individual rights. read the constitution.individual rights are granted by our creator. doesnt mean a "god" simply means we are born as equal with individual freedom and liberties. role of government is to simply protect life, liberty and property. if you let government grant rights, that is nothing more than a dictator passing out favors, also this allows them to take away.

That isn't Obama's position - he supports NOT amending the Constitution to take away rights, he wants the states to make the decision. He has said over and aver that he will not let his personal beliefs override his political ones, unlike our friend BUSH. Keep your damn church out of my government.

I just moved to AZ and was sad to see all the commercials telling everyone to "VOTE YES TO SAVE MARRIAGE!"and was also a bit sad that there weren't any protests like there was and still are in CA. :-( Oh well.

Also, Prop 8 passing in California was really terrible, but don't abandon hope. I think the issue is going to be resolved, and if it takes a Supreme Court case to bring that change, so be it. If not, there's always Canada.

I love how you put it. The majority is deciding the rights of the minority. Isn't that the reason we have a representative democracy in the first place? It's like the government protects minorities only when it's convenient. Insurance companies are scared of how many fake marriages would happen just to get insurance/tax breaks/etc, but that is no reason to eliminate our rights.

I played Pokemon silver a few years back, stopped,and then started again over a year ago...then stopped again.
And I can't say I really care that Prop 8 wasn't passed because I'm not going to let anyone else decide for me what's right and what's wrong. Society can suck a big toe if they think they can make these decisions for everyone

It looks really nice on you. :D I think the way they deprive gays of rights and are now going back on the few rights that you actually have is ridiculous and unfair. hehe xD I absolutely love the emulator! Although i mostly save the game through the emulator itself instead of in the games ^^' I think it's "file -> save game" but i'm not 100% sure. There should be about 10 slots there to use for saving the game =D
And i look forward to the next 5ag season! It's going to be so much fun i'm sure =D

i can't believe that some places in america are going back on legislation which gave equal rights to it's citizens. it's strange how it's all the people who wont be affected by it that vote against it...
human rights for everyone is what we need to be working on, and i believe that the welfare of animals is incredibly important (i would, i'm a veganfreak).

I totally agree. Prop 8 is crap, and it sickens me to think they put animals that they're going to eat before you and me. Shouldn't it require more than 52% of the vote to write discrimination INTO the constitution? Someone should make that a rule.

In Florida, they did write something like that: you need 60% to put it in the Constitution. Unfortunately, the gay marraige ban (which also banned ALL domestic partnerships & civil unions for gay AND straight) got over 60% of the vote. :(

Sorry about your Bulbasaur :( I find that VisualBoyAdvance is the most convenient emulator for Pokemon. It's what I used, and I beat the motherf***ing Elite Four. aahhhh, nostalgia.
also... Prop 8 is a setback, but it's not a big one. I donated $50, and I'm sad to see that it passed. Obviously we're not going to be able to fight for marriage equality in all 50 states individually, but if we can win in a few states, it might be a catalyst for a larger decision by Congress or the Supreme Court.

Ahh yes, emulators and ROMs! You gotta make sure you save it...it should save it as a weird file that you can't open, unless you have the gameboy emulator running..that's what opens it!

Don't worry. Prop 8 is trying to change the Californian Constitution, and it requires a 2/3rds majority for an amendment to change the constitution. I'm excited to see all the religious folks have their spirits crushed when they find this out.

i live in california also and i think prop 8 is unbelievably wrong and disgusting, but my history teacher reminded us yesterday that because prop 8 is so unconstitutional, there's no way it could become an amendment and goes agains the bill of rights.

We weren't and aren't fighting for the right to marry in a church, we are fighting for the right to be recognized by the government as married couples with all the same rights as straight married couples have.

I think California is against any marriage, its on the nations top 20 states with the highest divorce rates. I think the people who are actually married are saying to the gay community, like the bestman says to the groom at the wedding day, "Dude!, you dont know what youre getting into".
