  • You can tell that the guys from 'Size know this documentary will be a crock of shit. Mike is just taking a piss the whole time.

  • "HEY, this is OCEANSIZE and we're in MANCHESTURR...my name's Mike, this is Cameron."

In just a few words, Mike has pretty much let anyone know what us American's sound like.

We're all named either Mike, Cameron or Bradley and we all talk like that (Seriously, everyone would fucking say Manchesturr. Don't let anyone tell you different).

Also, Salt Lake City is a fucking shithole. I should know. I live 20 miles away from it.

  • America is the holy grail? come on

  • i hope Oceansize doesnt get to commercial, it really can ruin the band and music.

i kind of like it where they are now, a small dedicated group of fans that really enjoy the music Oceansize is all about, I hate the big group of sheeps that follow and start crowdsurfing at shows...

  • there are also a lot of great american bands that just dont tour in Europe, kind of a bummer.. thank god i live in Europe and seen oceansize for 4 times already ^^

  • Ah they go to Big Hands! :D That's my favourite Cafe/Bar! :D

This video was delightfully awkward and naive, it's like watching your dad talk about music. Oceansize are pretty ace though

  • This is such a weird documentary. They want to do the whole "British Invasion" thing and choose...Oceansize? I've never seen one of the best bands in the world underplayed so much...I mean come on, Noel Gallagher doesn't deserve screen time...

  • I love the way the entire band, especially Mike is taking the piss throughout the entire documentary.

  • hey, if Oceansize came anywhere within 300 miles of Pennsylvania i'd head out to see them

  • Hmmm it's probably just me, but they all look rather older now, especially Gambler. Not sure why.

  • @madpaintbalerx Might be because they're older now...

  • America? The holy grail of music? hmm, you might need to rethink that.

As far as I'm concerned, where your from doesn't matter all that much. You shouldn't never get all tangled up in that whole geographical issue. It won't lead you anywhere. It's who are you are that truly matters.

  • @DeadWhiteButterflies perfectly phrased. period.

  • My life has a meaning. I must kill Noel Gallagher.

  • @46lar noel didn't say that about oceansize, did he?

  • "Doing the only thing they know how to do, play rock and roll HARD"

    lmao

  • best new band....holy shit

  • is that footage from the feed to feed boxset?

  • this was uploaded in 2006....

  • ah yes, how stupid of me :P

  • Shut it Noel you cunt!

  • Haha, "It looks especially good when you're on mushrooms in the dark! Wooow" on 2:25

  • i forgot how amazing this was.

it really hits home how much more like oasis oceansize need to sound if they want to get anywhere.

oh, and they need better haircuts (or just hair).

    x

  • No they don't. Oasis are a buncha pussies who think too much of themselves.

  • The last thing Oceansize need to sound like is Oasis. Oceansize are a far better band.

  • oh, and this was sarcasm by the way.

i thought we'd get that, but non.

  • Ahhh ok. My mistake.

  • I LOVE MIKE!!!

    He's so cute!!!

    :D

  • hahahaha is this a spoof?

  • @averagejon

    It better be!

  • they made them look like a tiny punk group, didn't even said anything about their music. what a biased american piece

  • What a truly awful documentary!! Painful to watch! It put the mighty Size in the same boat as Oasis, Blur and Kaiser Cheifs!! Fuck Off!!!!

  • I totally agree man, what the fuck?!!

  • hahaahhaha this program is awful, but Oceansize are excellent!

  • what's in America? theres more great Festivals in Europe id rather play if i was in band with their level.

  • Whats that berk Gallagher going on about too... fair enough you might not like bands like slipknot - i mean i dont think theyre that great - but dont go around saying that its "wrong" to have a certain style or look. Just cos he looks like a car-thief and preaches to brain-dead 90's soccer casuals and junkies.

  • why did i not once hear mike vennert or any other member of the band say their goal was to go to america the most the band said about it was that when it happens itll be a big deal.

  • Oceansize can't afford to go to America, let alone crack it. Would require a very long and generous tour support. Any takers?

  • you guys should go with GOD IS AN ASTRONAUT early next year. I can put you in contact if you'd like. This would be fucking amazing.

  • This was pretty much the lamest programme I have ever seen. Bloody Americans.

  • Actually, thinking about it now, did they do this for the money or what? It doesn't seem like the kind of show they'd appear on.

  • i agree. Fucking shite.

  • they're legend already.

saw them few days ago in cologne.

    awesome.

    can't find more words.

  • that narration was a crock of shit "all UK bands want to play in america" and why the fuck are oceansize being compared to kaiser chiefs?

  • haha mushrooms!

  • lol and rolling a j at 2:48

  • Looks like a rollie to mee.

  • woo off to see Oceansize tonite! :)

2nd time seeing them and im hella excited! :)

  • Please come to the US soon.... PLEASE!

  • I wish I was Oceansize!

  • Not all Americans have their heads up their ass when it comes to appreciating good music. I love Oceansize. Truth is, America doesn't deserve a band as good as Oceansize. A tour of the states with Porcupine Tree would be awesome.

  • stupid americans..the band's mainly labeled progressive-post-indie rock, what the hell with the rock&roll thing?! and could everybody please stop compare and contrasting every friggin fresh british band with shit like oasis, i'm not saying oasis sucks but it's just not eligible for being a litmus paper in music. not to mention that the two are completely unlike, and not "booming" in the US sounds quite logical for a european/british style band aiming to please european scene.

  • oceansize are amazing.. i kinda dont weant them to 'blow up' in america!

  • I feel the same way!!!!

  • Yeh let's keep em Birtish!

  • ...Roadhouse, Manchester, England, UK, Europe... Earth, Miky Way, Universe... ;P Great Band :)

  • What a vacuous interview. Good to see Oceansize getting featured, but the annoying presenter kept bringing up "the band are desperate to break America", which the band themselves barely alluded to! As for showing them round Manchester and its scene- they went to Big Hands, then walked 50 yds to the Academy, then another 20 to the Academy 2! If they'd not played the Roadhouse we'd see nothing of the live scene except a brief view of the Apollo at the start! Are all US TV features this bad?

  • I LOVE Oceansize!!! I want to see them play here!! *whines* *pleads*

  • when the go to the U.S....how bout when they come back...i saw them 2 years ago in Los Angeles and i fell in love with them...they were the nicest guys..

  • Get in!! I was at That gig at T'Roadhouse and was mistaken for Mr Herron twice...

  • Oceansize are fucking amazing, Noel Gallagher is a dickhead.

  • I second that

  • Third that

  • one band we played with already have played with oceansize ... i wish we could play with them when they come back to germany.

  • my favorite band, amazing people and musicians!

  • Oceansize iz my favourite band!!!!

  • great band, already a few fans in costa rica!!!
