@PITBULL35383 dud a 305 is the same thig as a 350 just smaler pistons and different cam and the dip stick is on the other sid it can be over sized to the same thing as a 350 an you can put the sam cam or biger so next time you see someone with a 305 think twice!!!

@shabou94 the bore and stroke is different and this motor is still a 305 is hasnt been bored or stoked and also the dip stick on a 350 can coem on either side depending on year the only thing done internaly in this motor is cam and roller rockers thats it the rest is bolt on its not enuff thow im wanting to build somthing BIG

Not really, Only reason for misfires is tuning problem elsewhere. And valve wear if you run NO manifold or headers you could warp a valve but not with Headers, people have been running them open for years. And the increased scavenging of the open headers, lowers engine temp.

yea and no its alot cheaper but its locked all the time and its a good way to twist an axle on the street or with a load on it it strains the rearend i would go with the locker if its street and off road but if its a mud truck only weld er up

It does sound alot like mine but this is a 305 engine. The cam would sound alot meaner in a 305 than in a 350. Its possible you have the smaller Bracket Master 2 cam but if I was to bet I would say its the one I have. Sounds good.

I wanna say he ment 305 but I guess a 400 .30 over is a 405? a 350 .30 over is a 355 so it makes since. Even if on a 400 30 over comes up to a 403 or something cause of stroke or something(I'm like a pro at 350s but never messed with a 400 I know they have simese cylenders and steame holes in the heads but thats about it) but He either has a 305 or a 400+.30

you dont really see many good running 305's...most people dont build em cause they're hard to get good power/performance out of them..BUT, your deffinantly is probably one of the best sounding/running 305's ive heard in a while. what tranny are you using and how high do you rev that motor usually?

yea i know thats why i still got it in there yea i dont even know why it runs so good it did when i got it b4 the cam and al that thankyou ive worked hard on it..a 4 speed with 390 rear gears a well i shift it at 4500 when i get on it and ive had it as high and i think 6700 stock bottom end
