I found tab that has the tuning a bit different. 1-E, 2-A, 3-A, 4-E, 5-A, 6-D. Makes the whole song so much easier. The part where you are sliding, is actually open strings 1, 2, 3, and 4 for the first strum, then hammer on string 3 and 4, 2nd fret. Holding, strum again and hammer on string 3, 4th fret, stum again and slide from 2nd and 4th fret to 5th and 7th. This way the part u r having trouble with is a simple hammer on and lift off. Much easier. Fretplay.com has tuning and tab. Its awesome

great vid, but I'm am officially terrified of this song haha. I broke strings on two different guitars in two days. That 3rd gets me every time. I guess I just dont have the magic touch

I called up Guitar Center and aparentally a higher gauge string helps. I tuned it up a quarter of the way, then left it alone for 5 minutes. came back tuned it up a little less than a quarter, left it alone, strummed it a few times, then continued inch by inch (slowly) take your time and you'll get it. I just got it today.

The part after you slide from 7 to 9 to 11 to 14 I believe is played as follows: on the 4th string (D) you play 7 slide to 9 slide to 11 (down strum twice) then back to 7 slide to 9 slide to 11 slide back to 9 slide back to 7 and repeat verse.

Just in case ur question hasn't been answered yet.

I think the part that u'r not sure with goes like this.

Legend: "no." is fret; -> is slide, - is normal stroke.

A string -- 5->7->9-9-9->7-5-7-9->7-5

Just hit the A string on the 9th fret again to fill up the blank part.
