@elementmasterJaz Yes, munchkin cats with the dominant phenotype have short legs like a Corgi. There are also regular legged munchkins, but it is because they got a recessive gene...they have to be bred with a regular cat because if you cross 2 munchkins with short legs, 1/2 the kittens would die because the double-dominant allele renders them non-viable. When you cross a munchkin with a regular cat you get 50% munchkin (shortlegs) and 50% long-legged cats. They are smaller than other cats.

There is nothing wrong with munchkins, they are not bred that way, it's a natural mutation, and they can function just as easily as any long legged cat. Now while you're at it how about you go to any human midget and tell them there's something inherantly wrong with them and see what happens.

I just don't get the reasoning and the justification. If at all, breeding should be done to IMPROVE a race, improve its health and abilities and not crazily cuten them with the potential cost of sickness or personality problems (like many of the races that are bred). I am just against it. It's unnatural and unfair to the creatures that come out of this "experimenting" process.
