everts is awesome, carmichael is awesome too there both completley different rider everts is controlled and smooth, carmichael is agressive and wild but both amazing riders!
to be honest everyone argueing about which is faster the ama or the world champianship is just sad coz its there achievements not yours and to be honest there just as fast as each other mark dereuver went over to do an ama and got a 3rd in the first moto and had heat exaustion in the second and he can barley get top 5 in the world champianship
Who is 10 times worldchamp? not amachamp, 'worldchampion'? Stewart played safe,Not one motocrosser in the hole world thinks about teameffort, only the individual win, if he can win!!Rc wouldnt talk crap like stewart did after the race!!
No more comparisons between the world championship and the A.M.A. tour! Having "world" in the title doesn't make it a superior contest. Look at who wins the MXoN more often to figure that out. Let's not kid ourselves; The Americans race in America because there's no incentive to do otherwise. Americans only resort to racing the World championships if they can't land a contract stateside. And in a team race like the MXoN, team dynamics do exist. Only an idiot would fail to recognize that.
AMA Motocross Championship FIM Motocross Grand Prix the best rider is Americans and after Australians, New Zealanders South Africans and Europeans, the best championship is AMA championships, this year (2006) , Belgium Stefan Everts at 33 years old, beat for the first time a top US rider (the young James Stewart, 20years old, first participation at the MXoN and at one event outside the United State) after 15 years to try against McGrath (1993 & 1996) and Carmichael (2000-2005)
In 2006 everts had too much luck, look at him in the 2005 mxon or 2007, 10 times world champion looks like he started riding a week ago campared to carmichael, villopoto, stewart, etc
He stopped racing after the 2006 season so go do some research before you talk shit kid!!! He has the smoothest style on the planet and he's one of the best riders ever!!!
The USA team thought about team effort and that is partly why they won. It is called being smart as well as fast. Stewart talked crap and so did everts.
I'm so sorry, but you must be mistaken. There was no "crap" to be found in the comment I made. It's called rational observation. And for the record, the only psycho participating in this foolish argument would be the individual who is too pathetic to admit that team U.S.A. is superior right now. Stats don't lie cupcake.
It's pretty easy to sit at your computer and condemn a person with far greater ability than most mortals could hope to have. Stewart did not suck, he was inexperienced and decided to play it safe. If Stewart and Everts had raced 10 consecutive times, Stewart would have won 7 of them.
we won the trophy that day but we lost our pride, not even ricky would of beaten stefan that day he was on track kicking ass while ricky was hurt ( which he done on purpose so he didnt have 2 lose )
Shame we never got to see Everts Vs Carmichael but it was till a top day of racing. Stewart and Villapoto were super fast as expected...but Everts was even better! Townley looks like he's finding his form again too after all his injury problems. Such a pity Mckenzie didnt have more luck after his great start to the last race - I still dont know what happened to Tommy Searle in the first race tho!!??
I am sick of hearing the rest of the MX world talk about how the "yanks" got whipped. For the record, since no one seems to have a copy of it, Stewart played it safe, Villopoto was top MX2 rider, and Carmichael is the most talented human to ever race motocross. So why do I keep hearing conflicting opinions? These facts are irrefutable. I feel sorry for everyone else come 2007.
