  • thaught it had 470 hp

  • hun die, no no, it's hyon dae, it was 2009, so let's give him a benefit of doubt

  • Hyundai has copied the Honda vehicle emblem. They are doing the trick.

  • Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors should be fired Coach Choi KangHee. He encourages players to play violent.

  • lo maximooooooooooooooooooo

  • He's Canadian, so he pronounces things funny. Just like when he says Nissan and Mazda.

  • Interior in a golf looks better than this.

  • Complete Lexus LS copy. Who copy's a car that's boring and bland in the first place

  • Sucks

  • hun die hun die hun die. ITS HYON DAY!

  • This car is to badass for the h on the back Duh the genesis emblem

  • its HYUNDAI , not HONDAI

  • WTF 2011 but it was uploaded on sept 17, 2009 bs car.

  • Wow, when did Hyundai go from entry line crap car, to a luxury car going against BMW and Mercedes?

  • for those who doesn't know jack shit about korean car..then stfu....this car is actually pretty damn old...i seen this type of car in 2004 when i was station over there....american we need to open our eyes all this craps is old news to them...

  • Koreans are always copying Japanese and German cars.

  • @wodiya Strange thing to say considering Japanese and German cars are quite different.

  • @wodiya

Actually the Japanese copied American and German cars first. So by that logic in order to slam Korean cars you'd have to slam Japanese cars too.

  • @wodiya They always have to start somewhere... Japanese used to copy European and American cars and other things back about 30-40 years ago. And they've just made better things off of copying the Europeans and the Americans. That's what the Koreans are trying to do.

  • @wodiya German cars perform well but cost too much to maintain. Also, the amenities in BMW's are shyt compared to lexus and hyundai.

  • Tough call for me, if I had the money to buy European I'd definitely go that route.

But the Equus is a lot of car for little money compared to Audi BMW and Benz...

  • i have to say i am ver impressed especially at the interior. the seat could use some tweaking tho

  • who gives a shit how u pronounce it . still a wakkass car

  • I wish, people can pronounce Hyundai better... :( Hyun-Dae is the correct. Thumps up if you don't give a shit lol

  • Remember the Toyota Avalon before Lexus existed, this is Hyundai attempting to launch a luxury line. It will happen in a few years, and people will feel better about spending the money. This car is more of a test than anything else, Hyundai wont make any money on this car, but that's not the point.

  • Hondai Equus!Sounds so original and very impressive!!!

  • Ok...I love Hyundai and all of the new changes lately but THIS is TOO much,TOO soon....I mean every car maker knows they can't sell $50,000+ passenger cars under an affordable car nameplate....more than anything, I think this car was more of a STATEMENT car by Hyundai to show ppl what they can do until they release their luxury division (hopefully called Genesis)

  • Hyundai is so crappy, and who would actually spend more than 50K on a Hyundai?? There are so many nicer cars out there, at that price you could buy a BMW 5 series or a Mercedes E350, much nicer than a lousy Hyundai wannabe car. Truth is, all asian companies are unoriginal, all they know how to do is copy european companies, how sad....

  • If this cars base is around 27/28 thou...I think it will be a success. However if it is higher than that you will be competing with other luxury brands with better names like: Cadillac, Lexus,or Lincoln. If the CEO decided to come up with a whole new name for their Cars it would be better... Because honestly the current name for the company sounds like a cheaper version of a Honda.

  • Oh yeah..........I can see the crrap interior too. "Highest grade leather" lol.

And the whole plastic dashboard? What about that?

    Sorry, interior sucks.

And btw. wtf is up with all that chrome?

Chrome is not luxury, it is a "pimp" symbol.

  • Engine sucks.....

Frankly speaking, for its displacement size, it should have MUCH more torque and HP.

Weakly engineered engine. They failed to squeeze as many in efficiencies as they could from this engine.

Some BMW inline sixes can do this much HP, and lower displacement German & sometimes American car engines have more torque and HP.

  • @slobhinav Would you say that Toyota, Mercedes knows how to design an engine? The Toyota 4.6 V8 in the Lexus LS produces 347hp and 339lbf of torque. Mercedes' 5.5 V8? Produces 382hp and 391lbf of torque.

Do you expect a V8 made for luxury riding is going to be tuned to make 450hp? There is a reason why these companies just don't simply tweak their ECU for maximum power. Too bad the BMW twin turbo straight 6 makes 335hp and 332lbf of torque. Nice try though, hater.

  • @kamikakushii

    So what is your point????

You do realize that as you add more and more HP, the displacement has to get exponentially bigger right?

  • talk shit now until you actually see and drive one. here on maui we delt with mercedes for about 8 years and those cars was pretty sick. but this year hyundai is doing the golf tournament and i gottah say this car give them hard rubs.

  • i hate seeing ignorant people who have close minds and talk shit about Hyundai, i know Hyundai 15 years ago was crap and I was one of those ignorant persons who degenerate this brand without even test it(ohh irony), but now I own a Genesis, i have to admit that Hyundai is not anymore a junk car, I am happy with this car and the best thing is the service they provide. So, all Hyundai's haters can lick my balls!

  • i swear Hyundai makers dont have enough brain to come up with their own technology! I like the genesis and i was ok with them copy like 90% of the car from mercedes, and lexus but not its too much!!!!!! This car is hideous n its nothing like a Mercedes , bmw or lexus!

  • really really?

  • this is really nice...i might put some 20's on mine tho maybe 22

  • Hyundai improves greatly every year.

  • Why dont they put the hyundai emblem on the wheels and back? ;)

  • looks cheap,ugly, and tasteless.

However the Genesis is very good.

    lol

Buy a Lexus or Audi A8 instead of this.

  • back looks like a 5 series

  • This car is absolutely gorgeous! People seriously need to get over the fact that Hyundai WAS a cheap brand, but is NOW leading the way and showing other carmakers what they should be doing. The people who are concerned about the name follow the Hyundai Correlation: The bigger the carmaker's name, the smaller the penis is of the buyer =p...If it's a male buyer.

  • cars like this and the genesis, Acura and Lexus will really begin to loose even more sales. I mean acuras looks now are complete shit and dont sell that good anymore and heres a new commer trying hard to impress you, lots of people may say hey, ill try it and give hyundai a chance this time vs Acura or Lexus.

  • this won't be successful here, i mean who would buy a luxury hyundai? i wouldn't, i'd go for a bimmer or benz

  • @saboobuu and you would miss the absolute wonder of driving a hyundai. It is the best you will get with your money

  • @johnsmith234543 hyundai makes the worst cars in the world, they are ugly (this one is not bad, though), and are VERY underpowered. i mean kia is ripping off people (if you didn't know, kia makes hyundai) with the rio, i mean 9k for a rio, i drove the rio, the p.o.s should only be 5k, if even

  • @saboobuu im not talking about kia or the rio. im talking about hyundai and their cars are not underpowered. Most of them are small engines but that's because hyundai was developping more in the economic genre of cars but these days they make v6s and v8s and they are not underpowered my friend with 350+hp is not underpowered at all. I've driven an Azera limited previously and it is an amazing car to drive and can be found used in immaculate condition today for 12k. I'd consider it a 20k car.

  • I saw the Equus at the OC auto show the other day and it's the most beautiful car i've seen in decades. It's simply awesome. If i were rich I would buy two of them.

  • @chemicalsweet13 I got to sit in one at a dealership while buying a new Sonata. This car is very nice and will compete with Acura, Lexus, Infiniti, Mercedes, BMW with no problems. The Equus goes for $60,000 plus.

  • @bugatishakedown I envy you, I didn't get to sit in the one at the autoshow, 60,000 is a lot of money for me, it's unlikely that i'll be able to buy one in my lifetime unless i win the lottery but it certainly is a beautiful car to look at. To someone of my limited knowledge of cars I would imagine that at least in terms of features this car is on par with a rolls royce.

  • @chemicalsweet13 go ahead..... feeeeeed the koreans

  • if you were rich you would not buy a hyundai when you can buy a mercedes or bmw or audi.

  • @jetliigor I assure you I would. The fact that this car is made by Hyundai doesn't bother me at all. In fact I would probably buy it to make a statement among other reasons. Besides that, mercedes, bmw and audi do not impress me. I get far more value for my money with the equus than with any of those other cars. In my mind my car is not my status symbol.

  • Most millionaires like to show their money off. By doing so they buy nice houses and nice name brand cars. They wouldn't buy a hyundai when a Mercedes is the car that says "you've made it" in life. But if you'd buy a Hyundai (lol) go for it. To each his own.

  • @jetliigor Haha, I know your right, most millionaires would buy a bently or aston martin or something along those lines. But you said it, to each his own and based on my comparison I get the most for my money from the equus. Even if i'm a billionaire, true value is still more important to me than perceived value. When i look for a car, I don't look to celebrities for input, I don't try to buy the most popular name brand; I just shoot for making the most economically sound purchase.

  • @jetliigor which usually means buying a used car. :)

  • in 1998 my parents bought a used 1995 pontiac grand am. They bought it for $10,000. We gave it to charity in 2002 because over the years we paid more for fixing than we paid for it used. So now we never buy used actually never buy a car. I won't buy cars either. Used is not for me, besides i can't see myself driving the same car until 200,000 or so miles.

  • @jetliigor I definitely understand your point and i've heard that argument from plenty of people. When I buy a used car I usually go for a honda or toyota or nissan with readily available parts and easy access design for that very reason. On the other hand, I don't see myself paying for a brand new car that loses more than half it's value as soon as you drive it off the lot. Thats not mentioning the warranties, taxes (which are significant in my area) and commissions.

  • @jetliigor I think the key is simply to use discretion and balance your purchase against your financial resources. Also I think I should learn how to work on cars so that repairs would cost me so much. There is a lot to be said for being self sufficient.

  • @chemicalsweet13 agree with the design, the best in that price, I work part time and dont even get good pay, anyhow, i aint rich, but i can afford TWO, seriously.

  • @SweetWife84 I would love to know what kind of work you do part time that allows you to buy two 60k cars? The vast majority of people in the US are making 60k or less per year and have little to no savings so either your making great money or you've been on a very very tight budget for a very very long time. Either way, great job!

  • ugh!! you are all a bunch of idiots sitting on here saying that this car is cheap, a rip off, copy, or anything negative about this car really. have you even seen it? hyundai is leading the way right now, so fast that people are too ignorant to accept that their cars are better than what everyone else is offering. no duh its no mercedes or lexus, truth is its an amazing car for the money. if it is brand name your have to have, sorry hyundai isnt here to make up for your insecurities. grow up.

  • i don't know how successful this car would be in the us. rumors say it might be priced between 50 to 60k. It sells for up to 96k in foreign markets... at that point people will start being concerned with the name of the car they are buying, people at the lower end are more worried about value then at the higher end. the genisis is a better lookinf car then this also in my opinion

  • check out the kid throwin rocks in the water 1:59

  • lol ppl who have jobs that make 60k + are no going to buy this.Plus Hyundai come up with your own styling, Bentley hood piece, Mercedes grill and Audi head lights, damn every car they make has some styling cues from another car company what happened to being ORIGINAL!!!!!

  • @LuieBoy82 have you seen toyota puttin audi lights on the new lexus?

  • and thats because most people who make $60k a year are most likely not looking to buy a car that costs $59k. I'm just going to throw that out there. maybe someone making 150k plus a year is looking for that much but most people dont spend the majority of their annual income on a car

  • @risewiththefallen999 people will mostly finance the car. They WOULD need to be amazingly rich to buy cars that way

  • @johnsmith234543 I think you misunderstood my comment, it was supposed to be a reply to someone. but what I was saying is that by NO MEANS should someone making 60k a year buy a 59k or even a 40k car, even if financing. a almost 60k car is more in the range for people making closer to 125k a year. so no I do not mean buy the car outright. not to mention that someone buying a 59k dollar car only making 60k a year would mean 7+ years of payments.

  • Cheap quality car

  • @albolooki I agree dude this a piece of shit car, they copied the tail lights from the Rolls Royce Ghost the front is a fail Bentley, and the grill is a fail Mercedes. And the leather is so cheap. And a little fridge with a DVD player?$70,000 with only 300 horses shame on this car Hyundai should be ashamed for their cheap material and their cheap rip off cars it should be $20k.

  • Nissan Maxima tailights?

  • lexus tried selling the LFA for $350k, thats supercar money for a company that is not know for making supercars.now hyundai is selling a $60k car and is not a company known for making luxury cars.its a bit ambitious on hyundai's part.the interior is good, the exterior needs better styling and it should sell between $45k and $50k

  • This car is actually quite impressive, although, of course, it's not really comparable with Mercedes or BMWs. I've seen one myself in Korea, and Hyundai really seems to have built this with details in mind.

No wonder the BMW's board member was impressed with this car. He mentioned that Hyundai was now on par with Volkswagen, along with signing contracts with 12 different Korean car parts makers.

  • @aaajhs You are consuming some HEAVY DRUGS????

  • @blinkibili youre the one that seems to be obsessed with drugs. why, can't a guy even state his opinion?

  • @aaajhs Because your opinion is EQUALY, somebody on medicaments. I will be satisfy with German car, when they will be so reliably, that could give some guaratie, of , 5-7-10 years. I dont want a car , which will crack down ,next corner, like BMW, MERCEDES etc....

Give me 5-10 years guarantee, and than we could talk about car!!!

  • @blinkibili Sorry I don't understand what you're trying to say..

  • It's still a Hyundai. Do you actually fucking think BMW, Infiniti, Mercedes, Lexus, and Audi customers are going to buy this shit. No one is going to spend this much money on a car from a car company that make $15,000 cars named Elantra lmao. Hyundai tries too hard and they FAIL.

  • @MichaelopticZ Are you on some drugs???????

  • @MichaelopticZ funny how hyundai is bankrupting toyota and lexus cause of genesis and sonata. Im pretty sure equus will do the same just rape other companies in the ass

  • @whatthegirl because hyundai is gaining market share don't mean honda n toyota is losing money, trust, honda n toyota will be good, those companies sell on reputation alone, there are people who still wouldn't consider a hyundai cuz its a hyundai,

i do agree that i like the genisis and new sonata and tuscan better then what honda n toyota have,

  • costs 95000$ in Armenia

  • @arthur19995 good deal!

  • @chrisw40 2010 S500 costs 170000$

  • ماشاء الله ... هيونداي تتطور من سنة لأخرى

    وإنشاء الله اشتري وحده مثلها

  • the people who are raving this car have clearly never driven a BMW or Benz...this car is such a knockoff.

  • Great Job Hyundai! At Orlando Hyundai, we are the first dealership in the SE (US) to have one.. come & take a ride today!!

  • AUTO CENTRAL – JULY 22, 2010: Leading German motoring magazine AutoBild, has awarded Hyundai Motor Company the honor of first-place in its annual AutoBild Quality Report for 2010.

Hyundai edged out local manufacturers BMW and Audi and eclipsed its rival Toyota to take the prestigious award based on a comprehensive analysis of reliability, long-term quality and customer satisfaction.

  • but still nobody will buy so who cares what the "experts" say. Motortrend voted this hyundai as worse than mercedes s class, bmw 7 series, lexus ls, audi a7 and jaguar xj in the comparison tests.

  • Comment removed

  • i really hope hyundai isn't trying to compete with jap lux brand. who the hell drives LS460 anyways? maybe in korea or in japan they might hire chauffeur to drive these kind of cars but not here in the US. that's why we don't like driving cars like maybach. german executive cars are well built but simply soulless and downright ugly. if hyundai ever wants to compete with germans then they should copy quattroporte. i'll buy the asian maserati wannabe anytime.

  • did anyone notice the name plate? Hyundai Equus VS460 lol i guess it wants to be an LS460, by lexus ;)

  • @sexyboi142 dat wat i was sayin it sounds like the same . plus u can strait out tell they tried to make da interior like the LS

  • Ditch the cheap Hyundai brand and choose a class brand name.. then watch its sale go to the roof

  • @gunners0077 Luxury branding will not work at this point. Economy still hasn't fully recovered, and Hyundai can't pressure its dealers to open up another dealership for two models. Also, all those cost savings from not having a separate brick-and-mortar luxury dealership will translate into lower sticker prices. I'd rather have tens of thousands of dollars saved in my wallet than to have a cup of capuccino on Italian leather sofas and fake smiles from three-piece suit sales guy. No thanks.

  • @nipmanga thanks for your thoughts ... makes sense.. however as consumers are more value conscious (due to the lingering GFC..) this could play in Hyundai's favour... depends how they play their cards distribution-wise, as their current low price on the Equus already give them a definite advantage over the vehicle's targetted luxury competitors.

  • @gunners0077 I think Hyundai has already hit in on the nail. Free iPad for the owners? That's great idea. Instruction videos stored on iPad, much like internet Youtube instruction videos. Have you seen any other automakers doing the same thing? Nope. How about complimentary free pick up service for scheduled maintenances? Are you kidding? Even MB doesn't do that for their customers. All those things are possible for Hyundai dealers because of their low overhead costs (not having luxury brand).

  • @nipmanga

You're lucky to get all these freebies from your Hyundai dealers. Unlike here down under

  • @nipmanga you sound like a business consultant! it's true... the economy won't reward anything ostentatious. btw, when do you think the economy will fully recover?

  • Buying this car is like you have money, but you don't know how to use it

  • @INUMIMI28 Buying any Lexus cars over this is like, you having an urge to kill yourself in a piece of shit Jap car. Take a pick. Lexus cars can kill you with its gas pedals, steering wheels, brakes or engines.

  • @nipmanga Buying the last generation Equus, is like buying a MITSUBISHI PROUDIA because it is a Mitsubishi Proudia

  • @INUMIMI28 What is it with you Jappos? Do you have some kind of "national Korea-related Youtube video alert service", where they provide you a list of every fucking videos about Korean companies that you can visit and fuck with? Why do I see more of you Japs on Korean products than Koreans? Are you Japs that insecure? Do you believe Korean companies will someday take over your sorry ass Jap companies? I know you Japs are a bunch of liars, but can you tell me the truth about your motives?

  • @INUMIMI28 Let me help you with your explanations for you visiting Hyundai Equus video and posting shitty comments about this car, although you're only 27 years old and never thought about buying this luxury vehicle. Basically, you were working at Mitsubishi plant until they laid your ass off. Right? Instead of blaming yourselves for making shitty cars, you are now trying to blame on everybody else except yourselves. Right? Hyundai is doing very well, and you Japs are jealous, aren't you?

  • @nipmanga Look, I'm not into, nor a fan of my country's car maker like you do with your Hyundai. I, personally don't like Lexus LS because it's extremely dull, and not as good as the Germans.

And I don't like Hyundai Equus, because I think it's pretty embarrassing for owning a Hyundai that costs $50,000+α.

    That's why I own a German Mercedes S-Class.

P.S I never worked on Mitsubishi. I am a industrial designer.

  • @INUMIMI28 Then, why did you visit this video in the first place? Aren't you happy with your MB?

  • Comment removed

  • @nipmanga

I posted because I wanted to make a point that it has a same exact issue that

VW Phaeton has. I've actually drove Equus for 3 weeks when I was in seoul, because my friend lended to me. I liked the performance a lot. But I thought The Hyundai Equus has a brand dilemma that VW has, with their Phaeton, and Toyota with their LS. I mean it must be premium in Korea, but as in global market, that Italsized H mark will decline the overall appeal of this car.

  • @INUMIMI28 Like other notorious Japs, you never go away, do you? And just like all other idiotic Japs, you never make a clear point. Are you Japs taught at school from early on to answer other people's questions with vague and dubious answers? I asked you why are you here in the first place? And, all I'm hearing from you is your rambles on why Equus will fail like VW Phaeton, which is a total bullshit in itself. Now, can you answer my question? If you don't want to answer my question, say so.

  • @INUMIMI28 Equus doesn't have the exact same issue that Phaeton has. If the rest of you Japs have same IQ as you, I can see you people losing out to Koreans slowly but surely. First, listen to what Hyundai execs had to say. They are using this vehicle as a flagship vehicle that will bring buyers into their showrooms, and not to make huge profit. Second, this vehicle will start in the 50s and top out in the 60s. Phaeton started out at high 60s and topped out in the 90s.

  • @nipmanga

    i agree.

the japanese had the advantage before, but now, toyota, honda, and nissan, etc. are literally falling apart! do they know how to make cars or not?

  • @epicfail86 how is honda falling apart?

  • @Omilax

their cars (some of them) are also recalled for problems

  • @epicfail86 damn that sucks, cuz i love honda

  • @Omilax lol i like honda better than toyota, i'll give you that. i liked the honda s2000

  • @INUMIMI28 You're right on one thing about Phaeton. With full options, Phaetons were as expensive as MB S-class sedans. You had to be a stupid moron to purchase shitty VW Phaeton at that price range. However, comparably equipped Equus can be had for low 60s. That's about 30-40k savings. With that kind of savings, I'm sure quite a number of dentists, CPAs and high-paying engineers will have keen interests with this car. Massage chair in the back for the price of BMW 5 series sounds good to me.

  • @INUMIMI28 Or, did you drop by this video and leave some nasty shit about Hyundai and make your Jap ass look cool? You Japs need to wake up and smell the coffee. You Japs had the same attitude about Samsung 10 years ago. Look where that shitty attitude got you?

  • @nipmanga

Japanese Car Enthusiasts don't really like Japanese car. Most of us Certainly have some dislike on Toyota, because of their profit-concious way of making cars. I mean people buy it because its cheeper, reliable, gets fewer tax, and more equipped than the imports. Other than that, we don't really put them as a margine for buying. So I don't have any reasons to make Lexus sound cool.

besides We don't take much pride on our countries than Korea does.

  • why spend $50,000 on a hyundai, when you can buy a Lexus, BMW, or Mercedes for that price.

And if you buy a hyundai you WILL be made fun of!

  • @crazysk8brdr Why be like everyone else? It's quality built and designed and it's the flagship model. I'd have fun shocking people when I tell them it's made by Hyundai. Hyundai makes reliable, quality cars.. this is not 1986 anymore.

  • Car seems really good. I have a suggestion for Hyundai. Even If some one pays around $50K+ for this car, they end up saying that "Hmm.. I drive a Hyundai".. So why don't Hyundai launch a sister company for luxury cars and sell this car under that name. Just like toyota sells luxury cars with brand name Lexus and nissan sells infiniti.

  • @Suharsha4all I was thinking the same thing...and it seems so simple. This may work over-seas, but in the US unfortunately "name-brands" reign.

  • the american pronounciation of hyundai is so different from the korean pronounciation... the american pronounciation just sounds really weird to a native korean speaker :P

  • why are americans so ignorant and stupid have some respect its prenounced hy-yun-day not hundi. fucking red kneck idiots

  • @acuratlnigga - It's actually pronounced "hun-day". They even have a series of commercials about the correct way to pronounce the name. I guess that would make you the ignorant one.

  • @acuratlnigga its rponounced hi-yun-dy. i have vever heard anybody pronounce it hundi

  • @EatmyDust1311 It's Hun-Day.. that's the correct American way to pronounce the brand.

  • Comment removed

  • @EatmyDust1311 Go into a Hyundai dealership, watch a Hyundai commercial, ask a car guru ( A REAL ONE), It's pronounced Hun-day here in America. End of story.

  • @EatmyDust1311

Your logic is rather unthoughtful considering English is a difficult language because of its many exceptions to how to read things, e.g. Tomato (tom-ah-toe; tom-ay-toe), two = to, not "t-wo"... Peugeot, while French, is not "Pee-you-gee -ot"... etc.

  • @ozaki1 i dont want a hyundai and i couldnt buy a pugeot if i wanted one, which i dont so i dont care how its pronounced. if i spell it right, you can read it any way you want to

  • very cool car !!!

  • just saying that they really should have put the reclining seats on both sides of the rear seats not just the right side :(

  • yes, thank god we get this car, and also, thank god that hood ornament is not included!!

  • I like how people still don't know how to pronounce Hyundai...

  • @ThousanWhite

And I'm surprised the Hyundai Rep didn't correct him by saying it right while he was talking. It's not that hard folks, it's just like Sunday.

  • I'm impress with this car. It looks better than a Lexus....

  • @cholyu

I know! It drives me crazy how people mispronounce the name so often.

  • Comment removed

  • @bluekarma4 notice: thoose are hostile take overs from the same country and thoose were around for like 40yr+

u cant just make a new brand like what toyota did, the scion

    what does scion even mean?

  • I think Hyundai said a long time ago that they shouldn't have to create a whole new line to attract people to showrooms....

  • i really don't like this SLIVER!!

it should of be Mercedes-Benz color...

  • niceee

  • jvjobi

hey ur still here? ugly japs

    ur just anti of korea

now toyota is downfall so ur jealous of korean too much

  • I saw this for the first time tonight at the Dallas Auto Show.. Beautiful with Very high quality materials, I was so amazed. GOOD JOB HYUNDIA !

  • @dallaspolo lol you spelled hyundai wrong. hyundai, just like sundae.

  • Just sounded like any other salesman to me :p.

It barely even qualifies as a review. More of a preview. :p

  • BS...VW is unreliable from what I've heard!!

  • @asitmc VW has aweful electronics and wiring. just look when you're driving. Most of the new cars you see with one headlight out will be a VW

  • I understand this stragety but, if Hyundai wants to compete in a luxury market such as: BMW,Acura, Lexus, and MB, why not just make a luxury version of the company. From what I have Kia and Hyuandai are the same brand. If this information is correct they should make Kia the lower brand and, make Hyundai the up-scale brand.

  • That thing was more expensive than Merc E-Class...rather in range of S Class. We had 2009 BMW 7.50 LE and had a vibration problem, so it is sitting in dealer's garage for 3 months now. Go read my blog. I'd go with Equus.

  • @jvjobi Yeah, I said I wasn't a fan of Toyota. And VW is ok, I like some of there stuff, and porches, but only some... as a whole they aren't all that spectacular. they make plain, boring looking cars like toyota.

  • wow this car seems great, i guess they brought out the bigger brother of hyundai, genesis is now second XD

it must be really good compared to lexus and BM. i guess it can beat most other luxery cars, and no one shouldn't compare this car to any other cars like the bently because those aren't compareable, they can compare it to lexus and BM and merc. and all those other companies. but i like this one seems great, i bet someone will copy off of this car and then someone will start a argument

  • Actually they say this car is benchmarked on a BMW 7 Series and Merc S Class but after seeing it at a recent auto show I would say its more on par with a Maserati Quattroporte or Bentley Flying Spur!

  • this car is really well made but i dont know how many people really would consider equus in price range about 50 gran. you can buy lexus GS or bmw 5 series.. even equus is made to compete with bmw 7 and benz s series.

  • Different markets, not different league. You obviously have no understanding of the auto industry. Just because a particular company focuses on the upper market means nothing in terms of judging their quality and engineering. Honda FCX clarity for example.

  • and so will your audi after repair costs amount to half your car's value.

  • I love how people praise German engineering when their reliability is terrible. VW jetta gets a 5/10 on JD power associates and their electronics go haywire after 50k miles. Buy the best car for your money and leave your prejudice at the door.
