And really most of the people watching this show on my channel had never ever heard of it. So really I'm helping get the show out to people who would otherwise never would have heard of it.

@TheCryslin Youtube has actually probably increased media sales to some degree. For one, I tend to watch shows that I've heard someone mention on Youtube or seen a video on. I seldom buy songs from iTunes before I listen to in on Youtube first. What defines an internet thief? Someone who uses/watches pirated things? Well what defines pirated? An artificial copy of something else. Hell, you could print out an article that's online and it would be artificial. ACTA/SOPA/PIPA are too flawed.

In the case here it is taking someone elses property and posting it or doing whatever you want with it like you own it. I see this time and again on You Tube. Many posters act like they own the material and all they are are common theives.

@MrFBCBSALES I have never seen a poster act like the own the material, we are sharing something we like so more people can see it. A lot of the people watching the stuff i post would have no other way of watching these show. Even i have no way of watching a lot of these shows because of where i live. Chances are i probably even got a few people to look into getting the show/channels they have seen here or got people to visit the sites of the shows and people. Making them money..

The way you're speaking, you make it sound like YouTube is just some anarchy site that doesn't give a damn about copyright infringement... which is ignorant. If that were the case, YouTube would probably end up getting DNS blocked in America, just like megaupload was DNS blocked. I have never, in over half a decade of being on YouTube, seen someone say "I own this," on copyright.
