So what if the thing that makes you happy is something you can't have? Or what if you have what you think makes you happy and it isn't enough? How do you know that some people just can't be happy? Because everything I truly believe would make me happy will never happen. :x
Unhappiness by and of itself is not neccessarily a bad thing. It can be a signal that it's time to make some changes. Sometimes we have to get into a fairly strong state of misery before we do the things we need to. On a completely different subject....great choice of music. Then again, Beethoven could never be wrong!! :)
Interesting point, but I don't believe that you can always trust happiness as a guiding principle.
Long term relationships, for example, can cause a great deal of turmoil and emotional upheaval, but to abandon every relationship at the first sign of "unhappiness" would limit our ultimate growth.
