This was the start of the destruction of Britain. It is true European Companies do sell off subsidiaries but almost never whole companies and industries. Now, even ICI is owned by foreigners, Akzo Nobel (Dutch). The future for Britain is truly gloomy if we elect the Tories. All the greedy satanist Tories will do is to starve the poor. Really, I think the only hope for the ordinary people of this country is to be taken over by a friendly foreign nation, perhaps France or Germany. Guten Tag!

@SteveFocusFocus What the hell was the government doing owning companies anyway? Its there to govern ffs not play shops!! No govenment has even been able to run companies or industries at a profit because they are not businessmen, they are polititions. Why do you think its ok to have to pay though subsidies for people to fly by plane, travel by rail, for coal to be mined, steel to be made and energy to be produced when you have to then pay again when you buy the product? CRAZY
