true, but the shocking thing is that people who can see try so hard to play like him.. so much talent, trumpet, singing and guitar. great stuff, love the video
Rest in peace Jeff.......you were a truly gifted individual dispite your battle with the bastard cancer.....say "hi" to Jimi, Stevie, Ella and all the bunch for me.....seeya soon...
This is one of the coolest videos I have ever seen. I want to move to Europe. Thanks so much for that. It lifted my spirits about such a sad, sad event.
Healey passes away on the eve of the release of a new blues rock album Jeff Healey, arguably one of the most distinctive guitar players of our time, died today (Sunday March 2) in St. Joseph's Hospital, Toronto. He was 41, and leaves his wife, Cristie, daughter Rachel (13) and son Derek (three), as well as his father and step-mother, Bud and Rose Healey, and sisters Laura and Linda.
This was recorded on the day the Rhythm Boys played a concert for the Classic Jazz Society of Toronto. A CD is available of his concert which was great.
How good Jeff was ... i'd never seen him playing trumpet and his jazz scales on guitar were very beautiful too ... God blesses you Jeff.

What a great musician Jeff was! I was so lucky that I had the fortune to listen to him and his band in Lindsay, Ontario the year before he past away.

what a nice little jewel of true musicmanship.
I am no jazz lover, but those boys really mean it, can't resist.
Jeff, a memory worth to be shared, thanx for all you did for music. Life is such a short and precious event. You did your best to color it up.
frankpaush 3 years ago 2
Agree 100% he coloured it up perectly. It's sad that he had to leave us, but while he was here he sure tore it up.
