Je suis une ati Tokio Hotel. Enfin je l'ai été je dois l'avouer, une anti fiére et surtout anti groupies... Je le suis encore un peu face à leur ancien tube ! Mais cette chanson, allez savoir, j'aime !
Yes, they made two different videos. Started with this one, then made another one when the English album was released, refilming some scenes with Bill lip-syncing the English lyrics. (They did the same with the "Ready Set Go" video.)
love love love it one of they're best songs how could u not love it?Bill kauliz is insanly hot he is the hottest guy in the world how could u think different oh thats right u can't
thanks i was wondering because i can never tell if people interpret or if that's actually what it translates into before rearranging it for the masses. it's good to know that even when changed for an American population it still remained true to it's original meaning.
I used 4 years of German and a German to English dictionary from said classes.
The English version does have a slightly different translation than the literal tranlation from the German version. This happens in many foreign songs. Prime example is Nena's "99 Red Balloons" or Rammstein's "Du Hast Mich." If you speak the German language, and listen to those songs, they have a different feel to them and sometimes a completely different meaning altogether.
often the english equivilents of foreign videos are different even if only slightly, remember they have to refilm the entire thing. also to quietseth i believe your translation is wrong, i just listened to the english one and the lyrics are completely different, did you use a translator?
My translation of the German version is not incorrect. The English version is slightly different. This happens often when foreign songs are translated for mainstream English. Personally, I feel that the English version loses something in its translation.
maybe it doesnt make full sense when translating just words but i think they had to change some things around because maybe something in the order of german words makes sense in german but translated exactly doesnt quite in english.
i dont think he is supposed to. he is supposed to look like another person yet bill at the same time if you get my meaning. like how he is on the inside or something. his hair isnt done, his makeup is icky, he looks sick (physically ill).
c'est les même riff de guitare que The Rasmus "not like the other girls" tout le monde dit que se sont des référence mais non il copie les autres regarder autre exemple Mansoon a le même rythme que le premier couplet "first day of my life" de encorre the rasmus maintenant tokio hotel n'est pas une référence The Rasmus oui
in Don't Jump(not the translated, the english version they actually sing) they kind of warp the words so theyd make more sense, but I like the literal translation before because it actually has the band's intentional meaning for the song, and the literal translation, though not that different, is a litle bit darker to when they re-do it in english
yeah i agree and this translation is much more exact cuase i like pluged the lyrics into a translator and i was like what!!!!! but both songs are still really great
this is so much more powerful than dont jump though of course dont jump sounds better than the english translation of spring nicht its amazing just to know what they originally said and what they changed it into
Thank you for translating into English-nice work. Now I finally know what Bill sings. I`ve been to lazy to take a look into dictionary etc. Nice work!!!
You should really give a listen to their UK album "Scream." Given, it's not a literal translation like the one I have, but it's close to the same thing - and he's singing it in English.
I love this song!! I don't care if I can't understand it! (well I can.. bc the Amercain verson, but still) It's amazing! Bill put's so much feeling into it!!!

what i mean about the translation is did you interpret the meaning or did you use an online translator?
UsagiWolfe 3 years ago
yes, he did use a translator. you can tell by the grammatical arrangments and how the words would be different if spoken by an american. :)
