  • I pretty much have to be alone too before I can make a video for YouTube, if it's a vlog. For one thing, my parents don't actually know I suffer from SA. On the other hand, I'd feel pretty awkward with anyone around too in general.

  • Same here NeroMaddox, I don't think I could be as honest about my SA if someone else was in the room lol! And thanks so much for watching! :D

  • Emiliana Torrini in the background, that's a touch of class :)

Today has been OK is SUCH a soothing song

  • Haha thank you! I looove Emiliana Torrini, her voice is just so soothing and calming. This is one of my top fave songs. :)

  • Very good point about family. It's easy to be brought down by them. And it's certainly hard to separate yourself from them. I also have issues with my family. I tend to be a very individual thinker, in that I believe in myself and what I know is right. And that kind of thinking works well with just about everyone--except family.

  • I definitely know what you mean. It's like when I try to make proactive decisions for myself and my life, the only people who have such a negative reaction are my family, when all I'm trying to do is change my life for the better. Now it's just time for me to really evaluate and decide how much I want them to be an influence in my life. We'll see soon, I guess! Yay for individual thinkers lol! ;)

  • omg you have essay writing anxiety too!!!!!!!!!!!!

me too!!!!!!!! i put way too much pressure on myself.

p.s. that music is so soothing...

  • Yes I definitely do haha!!! I used to be okay with it, but now I just psyche myself out before I even start because I don't even want to think about what I want to say, and how I want to say it, etc., etc.

And I absolutely LOVE Emiliana Torrini. This is one of my favorite songs and I always play it on repeat when I need to calm myself down from a crappy day or something.

  • yeah um. i dont like toffee nut lattes anymore because of the caffeine effect!

    you are such a sweetheart.

"i can force my personality to come out for a limited amount of time" omg yes

it is very vulnerable, isnt it? but it gets better each time :) and u can have fun with it. one time it took 20-something tries! eek.

it was so relaxing and healing to hear you talk on this video. its like our own sa support group, only through internet. thank you so much for these anna. <3

  • Thank you so much Janey, YOU are the sweetheart!!! I feel the same exact way about your videos and I love watching them. It's awesome to have people to relate to, and your vids are definitely a source of relaxation, understanding, and inspiration for me. Don't ever stop making them!! ;) And thank you for all your supportive comments, it's very motivating to hear such awesome feedback. Looking forward to your next video!!

  • Anna the same thing happens with caffeine with me. I was in a vicious circle with energy drinks while I was at uni - I'd be so tired because of my anxiety and try to pick myself up with a Red Bull or coke and it would just make it worse.

Kudos on getting the Dr Richards tapes. If you stick with it they help a lot.

  • Yep, caffeine is for sure not my friend anymore! I too would use energy drinks, but now I stay far, far, away lol!
