If Rudy could hit some shots he'd be playing more minutes. For whatever reason, the rotation just can't get a good rhythm going this year. It's not about McMillan. It's true Rudy's defense is kinda weak, but one can't improve it by watching from the bench. I've seen Brandon Roy have some defensive lapses (no player plays perfect defense), but the coach easily overlooks it and let's him have 40-48 minutes. Not in the case for Rudy, any defensive lapse from him and it's the bench. Again coach McMillan is largely to blame, for not giving Rudy the minutes and opportunities. A player like Rudy can't play well with extreme under pressure from the coach.

Brandon Roy can commit 10 TO's and still play 48 minutes and take 20-30 shots. Rudy NEVER had that vote of confidence from McMillan, so Rudy always played under pressure. Just the fear of committing 1 TO meant the bench for Rudy, blame the coach for benching him too much, after all, one learns more by being on the court.
