this comes down to whos the better rider not the bike. The guy on the superduke was by far the more experienced rider. I own a Tuono and i have smoked plenty of superdukes and lots of other models. But i have also been smoked a lot myself. There is always someone better out there. Plus the tuono is a wheelstand monster. Takes a lot of effort to keep that front wheel if you want to keep it down. I spend more time with it in the air than i should but i cant help myself.

I might say once the Ape had been overtaken the A did'nt need to drop down gears going into some of those corners...could have held it and easily used the torque.

I have a Superduke-R so I'm a little biassed but at the end of the day it's all about the buzz you get going for a blast with mates on whatever bikes that they ride!
Camera was mounted very low, as a rider you can look over the wall's on the side of the road, so there was no danger in this ride.
The Tuono was 700km old, tyres cold and i was just there for a few minutes. Normaly the Tuono should have beat the Duke, but he was the better driver at that moment.
I am not so sure on THAT road that a Tuono is superior--over 100 MPH, yes--but the Duke actually has superior torque below 7500 RPMs. This road is custom-built for the Duke.

Beau is right. The Ape rider was way over his head -- couldn't hold a line in a corner to save his life, which will probably be pretty short anyway.

.. er, apart from the ludicrous tank range, yes they are great. Fastest bike on the road below about 170km/h.

A year later, I bought a Tuono. Great bikes. I might have bought the Duke but the supply chain in Canada is pretty broken.
