  • i want to do a cover of an NWA song, call it "Straight Outta Trumpton", oh happier times, maybe im just a miserable old git these days though

  • Nothing pc to spoil these lovely old shows, a gem of my childhood, far better than the politically correct garbage that is on today, bring these old shows back and show the kids of today what proper kids programmes were like.

  • no cctv no yellow lines no CEO,s

ah when england was a nice place Im off to Trumpton (god I wish I could)

  • If this was re-made today there'd be a west Indian hiding behind the tree dealing drugs, the cop would be a P.C.S.O in a hi vis vest, all the shops would be boarded up because there'd be a fuck off great shopping centre on top of the biscuit factory with 30 taxis parked outside full of Asian drivers waiting to take the rich people as far away from Trumptonshire as possible. Why can't we feed our kids this subliminal national socialism these days, might encourage them to stop killing each other.

  • @harvland1 What about all the obese chav mums wobbling their fat asses down Trumpton Lane...

  • @harvland1 :-) I was thinking something very similar.

  • @harvland1 i think you are right

  • Lovely memories

  • Everything that's gone wrong with my country in a nutshell. in a few minutes (of any episode) we have Real England encapsulated:-)

  • Oh God did I see this back in the day cos I seem to know all the words to the grocer's song lol!

  • chippy and nibs are a right pair of wankers, deep throat lovelace looks a right old misery.

  • Nice to see they've taken the time to restore the old Trumpton episodes. But at the same time, it doesn't look the same without all the grainy film :) Great to see this again!

  • this was made just before they put double yellow lines and parking meters in.

  • im 42 and im still mesmerised by this!! i loved this as a kid!!!

  • the artists real name was sonny jones from hull, some years after the show ended. he appeared on the micheal parkinson show and disclosed that after playing the artist in trumpton he was typcast for the rest of his life.which i found quite sad actually.ah well...

  • Trumpton was fab!! Watching this has brought back so many memories!!

  • 40 years ago when we were children we were entertained with programmes like this! Those were the good old days!

  • @johnmik67 I still had this when I was little and I'm only 19

  • @johnmik67 I concur, I so looked forward to watching this when I was a kid. Every lunch time it was great.

  • wonder what would happen if the reccession hit Trumpton?

  • They've all been sprayed with insecticide leading to an epidemic in stomach cancer..

    Thanks for posting

  • I love it, remember watching it when i was younger.

  • I'm only 20 but remember watching this as they used to show it early mornings when I was a kid, and my mum also watched it when she was a kid ^^

  • They should make a modern version of trumpton

  • This is so cute and sweet! i wish kids had this today instead of all that vampire crap!

  • Best.

    Fucking.

    Show.

    Evar.

  • "come buy my vegetables" sounds like a euphamism of mr clamp trying to get with that lady. You dirty old dog, you, mr clamp

  • @12pokechamp I find it funny that people see adult themes in these old TV shows. lol.

  • @12pokechamp you stupid nothing

  • I noticed Miss Lovelace's dogs' legs didn;t move when they were walking! Perhaps that would have been too complicated to animate.

  • im only 14 but i used to watch this its way way older but i used to love it brings back memorries :P

  • chippy minton...legend

  • Shame the American bombed Trumpton and Camberwick Green in their war on terror.

  • Mr Clamp definitely wants a shag fom Miss Lovelace looking back on this now.

  • @chrismac545 oh, well played, sir.

  • Timeless classic. Does this make me old?

  • @Hotrodngaz No.

  • @Hotrodngaz no way man, i watched repeats of this when i was little and im only 16 :)

  • @magicenchantment Haha I did too, on Channel 4 :D I am 16 as well.

  • Yup, but then that makes me old too...LOL

  • @Hotrodngaz no not at all. i think these are still suited for the kids of today

  • @Hotrodngaz one body is to old to watch a bit of trumpton even me

  • @Hotrodngaz Yes and it makes me sad when I see it now, I guess for all the time that has passed.

  • Ah the memories.................

  • I think that is Pc McGarry at 1:06 and Thomas Tripp at 1:34

  • your making me feel old

  • how funny would it be if the episode just ended at the end of this

  • Yeah, it would be funny, except there is a 'part 2.'

  • I am aware of this, I was remarking about the dialogue right at the end of this clip, which you my not have been aware of when posting your shirty reply. cock eyes

  • its actually pugh pugh barney mulgrew cuthbert dibble grub well thats what i was told as a kid

  • But why do all of us of a certain age know Pugh, Pugh, Barney McGrew, Cuthbert, Dibble, Grub? It's a mystery.

  • I thought it was Hugh, Pugh, Barney McGrew, Cuthbert, Dibble, Grubb.

  • I think they were twins.

  • IT IS. Its Hugh, Pugh, Barney McGrew, Cuthbert, Dibble, Grubb

my mum often says it :)

  • Comment removed

  • No, it's DEFINITELY Pugh, Pugh. You can clearly hear it in part two. Besides, it's pretty well documented. Anyway, it's still great viewing.

  • @Welshman2008 its hugh hugh 2 brothers

  • They are PUGH PUGH (not HUGH PUGH) Barney McGrew, Cuthbert Dibble and Grubb. For goodness sake, LOOK - LOOK, see the resemblance, they were TWINS. Their childhood ambition was to be a fireman, LOOK, they realised their ambition.

And if you look carefully, none of them wore poncy modern fire retardant clothing like the nancy boy firemen of today. These chaps were REAL men, in a tough world, constantly risking their lives in the line of duty for their fellow puppets

  • I know it and I'm only 17

  • ah memories of my school years

  • Why were you home to see Trumpton, you naughty person? It was on when all of us good people went back to school for the afternoon. I saw it because I was sick for a long time. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.

  • Weyyyheyyy childhood classics

  • anyone else spot the rabbit and bird in the clip..:)

  • When the music kicked in it was warp speed back to my childhood.

  • Check out Chigley which I've uploaded too. That rocks!

  • cheers sirtinycreep. Youve made my day!!

  • Still entertaining, isn't it?!

  • I grew up on this stuff. I have to say, Trumpton looks a lot like a mid-size FOB in Iraq.

  • I was always under the impression that Trumpton, Camberwick Green and Chigley were set in the Edwardian era...1920's etc...

  • Great days ! What a gem from my childhood - all those many years ago.

  • Have you noticed, the men wear '60s' clothes, yet the women wear Victorian garb! Long skirts down to the feet! ;) Yet the Sixites was known for its mini skirt!

  • Ah, memories of being off school ill or on school holidays and watching this!

  • Excellent TV series! I like the style!!!
