Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. Bach is THE MAN, and this is such a wonderfully down-to-earth, really joyful way to hear his music. The whole Lambarena CD is a triumph.
god bless all the people who recorded, wroted or contributed to this song...such a joy to hear this melody when you are far away from home...God bless the republic of GABON.
You can find it @ Amazon if you type "Lambarena". It is very special and requires an open mind & tolerance but it is fantastic and a true enriching contribution to Bach's music.
If you don't know the cd please don't comment. This is, as I rember, the first track: all the others are fabulous elaboration between Bach and Gabon rythm, as for example the version of "herr unser Herrscher" from the Passion of Saint John that you can find also here on youtube!
maybe a little bit of bach in the singing too. Many european harmonies though are extremely similar to the singing of african harmony. SIMILAR. So its such a close style of two singing styles already.
Nice song, but I don't think ONE LITTLE VIOLIN SOLO makes the whole song a blend or cross of bach and gabon music anymore than the moorish style guitar played in some spanish songs makes spanish music a complete blend or cross of middle eastern and spanish music. Its called spanish guitar or spanish music. And in this song all I hear is African music to me with a european violin solo.

šaunūs kūriniai. l gražiai ir meistriškai sukomponuoti Bacho kūriniai ir afrikietiški motyvai ;-))

no need to add anything from Bach for African sounds to be nice and relaxing imo..

ano. Przenosi tam gdzie chciałbym być. Tam gdzie słońce wschodzi częściej niż zachodzi, uruchamia wyobraźnię, nie wiem gdzie to jest. :]
