  • I have a 660 also. It makes cutting firewood fun and easier. There is nothing like how quick and easy the 660 cuts through big wood.

  • Seems like the chain is dull

  • monster :]

  • husqvarna and dolmar!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • molto potente over 90 cc

  • song name

  • Try standing next to a Magnum 660 with muffler removed. Should hear the echo around the vallley once you switch the bugger off. And yeah, Muffler has been put back on, for all you out there concerned with backpressure! thanks for the concern!

  • what kind of chaps do you wear?

  • nz? what part i used to live in hamilton

  • Great video, Great saw, and I watched the whole thing

  • very speedy cutting very light

    i want saw. stihl MS660

  • He must only be mm from a kick, 1:09

  • great vid. I've been thinking about getting a MS 660. I currently have a MS 260 and am not satisfied with its performance in bigger logs

  • @09rja gibts eure sägen auch mit scharfen ketten???

  • @holzfreak13 Typically yes. But the thing about it is (and let's face it) nobody's chain is 100% sharp all the time (especially in the middle of a big job; say 2 or 3 trees). So the added horsepower of the 660 would be great.

  • the second saw is very blunt

  • Was fürn Anfänger, der schneidet mit volles Blatt ;)

nur so´n Tipp.. beim durchschneiden die motorsäge länger hochziehen bis sie fast Senkrecht ist dann erleichterst du dir das sägen auch um 50% :)

  • 92.2cc

  • 91.6 cc

  • What's the displacement of an MS660? 92cc?

  • Dead red gum is harder than a whores heart. But still no match for STIHL POWER ! ! !

  • man that is hard wood!

  • just thought I'd mention the black line around cases is a felling sight

  • Thinking about wood hardness, over here we have Eastern Canadian hemlock which is quite soft. However, dead branches are like iron! Why would this be?

  • over time dead branches may petrify

  • @kalob35 yea in like a million years

  • nt all true...........we had a lighting struck pine tht was rott on the outside but solid petrified on the inside and on the branches

  • lol wow ive never heard of that happening

  • @kinghowie8 belive ot or not..........o well

  • i believe ya i just never heard of that happening

  • i couldnt belive it at first either.....we had 2 here like tht......dnt have to worry about lightwood for the rest of my life

  • haha

  • lol, the MS660 is a wonderful saw. i work at a hardware store and we sell Stihl equipment. Everyone drools over this puppy we have on display lol. depending where u live..they run about 1-1.3 grand-ish. MS880 is the one i wanta see in action! =)

  • youtubes the place 4 it

  • Thats a beast of a saw you got there. im jelous, all we got is a 026. And i hope you know thats a dirtbike sized motor your holding there, 90 cc's

  • nothing is to tuogh for a stihl

  • I have the same saw- 32 inch bar with a skip chain.

  • Long and nice one! A lot longer and bigger than my fathers MS 260!

  • Hey man awesome video. I was wondering what the song and artist was cause it's pretty perfect for this type of stuff.

  • why do you cut ur round so short?

  • More efficient. I've done about 50m3 of wood this season, I've noticed more cuts per tank if you let the bar drop straight down.

  • okay this guy is just playing with his saws. he has no idea what work is. try logging 10 hours a day. nice stihls though

  • ever thought that people use saws to heat there home.. I do.. I have a day job that doesn't involve chainsaws, but when I use mine I guess I'm playing...

  • Miking 850 cows and I have no idea what work is LOL!!! I'll do 6 months without a day of, averaging 12hr days, 16-18 in spring. We use the 260 for fencing, but the 660 does 4 houses firewood, we go through 30m3 of wood alone.

  • @DairyNZ You tell him!

  • @hondariderzach what he cant have fun?

  • Hi, I like your video and have watched it several times. You have a good cutting technique.

  • Great to see someone who understands the chainsaw. Let the saw do the work I say. The hardest part is moving the saw from one cut to the next.

  • Has anyone used both a 460 and a 660? If so, which one is louder?

  • My father-in-law has the 440 it's about the same (I ware ear muffs any). The 440 growls like big V8 whereas the 660 whistles like a Ferrari.

  • runnin a full kip hisel chain?

  • wut is the full skip thing anway?

  • a chisel chain, instead of having one tooth per drive ling it skips so there are two spaces between wach tooth allowing better chip discharge and works best in softwoods i think

  • thanksfor the artist!

    this is very good!

  • damn that saw is goin through that good. ive cut some of that that shit is HARDDD woood

  • Tell me about it. I was cutting up some Macrocarpa and pine at the weekend, big difference in cutting time.

  • Holy mackerel, that is some HARD wood. Next time instead of cutting it up, you need to sell it to the folks at the Louisville Slugger company!

  • good saw i got a ms660 and a ms460. best in the world

  • You must have a really huge wood burning stove!

  • It's getting up there. I reckon if I could just get my leg behind my head, I could climb inside.

  • good music!! artist????????

  • "Alter Bridge" were all members of Creed but with new lead singer "Myles Kennedy". From the album "One Day Remains".

  • NICE SAW!CUSTOM?

  • Off the shelf standard

  • Hi

Is your chain sharp ?? What chain are you using ?

Is it a Rapid Super Cut ? or a slower pitch ?

My 660 rips through australia Narrow leaf iron bark much faster than your saw.

    Just wondering...

ps, Checked the air filter ?

  • I touch the chain up daily and check the guides every four to five sharpens. I run the rapid super (RS) chain. This weathered blue/red gum has the cross grain and is the hardest wood I've cut by a long shot. There is a reason why this wood is still stacked up where it is, basically because no one wants the hassle of cutting it up (until the STIHL comes along).

  • Cool :o)

I think i was drunk when i wrote those comments..

Anyway, Stihl 660 and 360 are my favourite saws.... and my 009...

  • I think I was drunk when I read them :-)

All the 60's range seem good saws 260, 360, 460, 660, I like them all.

  • Geez... I meant to write 460...

    I don't own a 360, although it is a very good saw...

    I have a 660,460 and 2 x 009. Perfect for outback farm use :o)

    Anyway, Stihl works for me

    Regards

  • hey man nice video, that saw is a beast. cut through it like a knife through butter. I have stihl ms 290, 3.8 HP 20 inch bar. ill post a video up of it when i have a chance.
