He doesn`t use expressionism. His position is actually the opposite of expressionism. It´s the leadership of art not the expression of an artist. I don´t think that there is a shadow of Andy Warhol or Joseph Beuys visible. Both of them have another term of being an artist. Joseph Beuys understood himself as a shaman and Andy Warhol determine that there is no better status than being a superstar. Jonathan Meese negates both positions and unmasks them as a kind of selfreference (not art).
