  • I'd hit it....

  • I'm looking forward to the HBO series based on the books.

  • I love watching reviews for this book. with 42 main characters and over a hundred story likes in a song of ice and fire it is difficult to pin down what the book is actually about. I think its funny you say it is about the starks because they are portrayed as the good guys and the lannisters are the evil people.

    (spoiler alert!!)

in the next few books they all die (and ressurected?) and the lannisters are portrayed as heroic and misunderstood

  • Awesome series! I just finished A Feast For Crows. I'd recommend a few books that you may not have read if you like Game of Thrones: Stephen King's Dark Tower Series, Eyes of the Dragon, and The Talisman as well as The Stand and IT. And Tommyknockers. Also, Neil Gaimen's American Gods and Neverwhere are awesome. Also, the Shannara series is great. Wheel of Time is good too. Then Wizard's First Rule.

  • I love this series!!!! You should check out some Terry Prattchet( fantasy/humor) good fun light reading.

  • My favorite characters Tyrion, Arya Jon Snow Dany and Bran

  • Guys, if you read fantasy you have to check out the first law trilogy by Joe Abercrombie. The first book in the series is called "The blade itself". It honestly blows Martins books out of the water.

  • I have read a game of thrones, a clash of kings, and am halfway through a storm of swords. It really only gets better and better. George r.r. Martin writes in such away that it makes it easy to be submersed into the world that he creates. He does such a good job at balancing out the characters and leaves you wanting more and more. He is full of surprises. To all of you who are reading this series, keep reading!! It only gets better and with him coming out with more books to add to the series, i

  • @Kayrouz Halfway through Storm of Swords...??? Wow you are in for a surprise... You will see.

  • i just finished reading a game of thrones yesterday and since i dont yet have the sequel i'm filling the void with the internet =)

since its been more than a year since you reviewed this first book, i was just wondering if you've read any of the others, and if you have any insight about those as well. and just curious, but who are your favorite characters among the thousands there are to choose from??

i love talking about books, especially good ones =D

  • Im getting bored at page 200 still introducing characters and no action! Fiest is much better.

  • Stuff like that bitches! You got that!?

  • And like this is a book and stuff like that, and like the book has umm like characters, and like stuff like that, and like there are words, and like stuff like that.

  • She talks funny , what accent is that ?

  • good vid though mabey talk just on the book

  • So what do you think of the series? It's one of my favs. Are you finished all the available books?

  • why the heck are you guys checking out a young girl talking about a book... and commenting on her appearance? You guys are a bunch of losers... especially the 'tarth' comment. I just like the books and am curious about other people's interest in them. You disgusting forks only comment is along the lines of 'she isn't cute' or something. You are disgusting ice holes.

  • Second.

  • Thanks for telling them off. They deserved it.

  • @Fiveawesomebooks Read The Religion from Tim Willocks too.

    B.t.w. you are cute.

  • i just finished the first book =D it took me exactly a week, and i just started on the second one today....they're pretty amazing =D

  • Comment removed

  • oh yes. i know these things. lol i just finished the third book before i read this. so HA. nice try XD

  • :=D

  • remove this comment :P!

  • if you don't think this girl's face is very cute...then you must think men are cute

  • youre like brienne of tarth

  • I looovveeee this book ! I will be looking for more reviews to see what else I can pick up.

  • hey i was wondering if you know how much of "A Game of Thrones" is about Cersei and Jaime Lannister? Thanks :D

  • I have no idea...why?

  • I read most of the third book b/c that's the only one my library had, and I liked their story so I wanted to know if they were part of the 1st book a lot.

  • Cersei is in it a little bit near the end of the book. Jamie is hardly in the first book at all, just a few brief appearances.

  • Later books deal with them as POV characters.

  • Jaime is a big part of the story, cersei not so much

  • Yeah I don't know how I stumbled onto this series but I thought it was amazing. Had to take a year off to concentrate on finishing my degree when I was reading the third one, but now I've started #4!

  • I've only read the first two...but eventually I'll get to the rest of it ^^

  • This would be my most favorite fantasy series, though Tolkien is right beside, with A Song Of Fire And Ice being first.

Currently in the prologue of A Clash of Kings, as I just started the series.

    My favorite characters currently are:

    Tyrion Lannister

    Eddard Stark

    Robb Stark

    Jon Snow

    Jaime Lannister....maybe

    Khal Drogo

    Dany ((Forgot her full name.))

  • I have so many favorite fantasy series that I love...

  • @Orkb0yz Hmm, Ned and Tyrion share the first place in my opinion, then comes Jon, Arya. I've only read the first 2 parts though, but once I began reading I couldn't stop, it's just so good

  • you're a fairly hefty young lady

  • and you're jealous

  • hey, i didn't say I wouldn't hit it. i was just making an observation baby.

  • Really dude? Taking jabs at a highschool girl? Dont you have anything better going on in your life? When people like you run their mouths in public they get their fucking teeth knocked out, so you have to hide anonymously behind your keyboard. What a pathetic little creature you must be.

  • c'est de la balle !

  • Merci

  • Martin is by far my favorite fantasy author. I haven't read any of his sci fi stuff, but if it's anything like his fantasy stuff he'd probably wind up being my favorite fiction author in general.

  • You're so cute! :)

I have read A Game of Thrones and liked it so very much I also finished other volumes of the saga. I am not a big reader but reading all those books was a huge pleasure and excitement. Can't wait for the next volume.

  • Thanks! Yeah I enjoyed a Game of Thrones and I'm about halfway through A Clash of Kings.

  • My favorite books

  • they are really good ^^

  • hey, if you go to the very back of the book, after the appendix, there is a chapter on theon. I'm almost done with A clash of kings, that one is over 1000 pages.

  • I read that, and I'm excited to go and read A Clash of Kings, I know my library has that one as well ^^

  • Thanks for doing this review! you are awesome!

Good luck with school! wish you the best!

  • Thanks so much!
