  • Very nice playing

  • not a duo jet

  • @WorshipHim247365 of course it's a duo jet.

  • @The170460 duo jets have two selectors and this only has 1 pickup selector. the fretboard on a duojet doesnt have those big inlays. the tailpiece is different. the pickups are different.. definitely not a dou jet. or at least not the model i'm thinking of

  • @WorshipHim247365 sorry guy but the original duo jet from the fifties used dynasonic pickups like this one, and some models havn't bigsby on it. Look at the pictures of US duo jet from the fifties (like the Cliff Gallup one "Gene Vincent blue caps guitarist") you're completely wrong.

  • wow finally a piece of some other guy on the Gretsch

  • you wanna tab the part that sounds like a beatles song or something around....0:21 to about 0:26?

  • It sounds a little like the riff of I Feel Fine.

  • The song is some other guy !!!

  • i think its some other guy

  • wicked guitar! I'm not a huge fan of the Dyans, but you make it sound damn good!

  • cool~ i wanna buy.

    which duo jet? G6128T-1957 ?

    DynaSonic Pickups?

  • for this sounds get the dynasonics

  • my favorite guitar of all time is the Gretsch Duo Jet that is has the dark green paint job and gold hardware. Bout $2400 but dang its nice! NOS--EATER OUT!

  • Dude, that is the sweetest guitar there is. It's worth more than my car. I'd be terrified to play out with it, worrying that some guy would konk me on the head and steal it. Congrats on the fine instrument!

  • Great playing. I tried a Gretsch Silver Jet with DeArmonds yesterday and man was I impressed. I like it better than my Country Club. The Jet did not have a Bigsby. Even tho I like Cliff Gallup just say I don't really need a Bigsby. I would buy one with a Bigsby but would a Bigs alter the tone and feel much? I liked the Jet just the way it is and wouldn't mind having a Bigs in case I need to use it one day but I want to make sure that doesn't change the tone or feel. What do you think?

  • sounds awesome

  • im not sure i'm fond of the gretsch single coil sound but great playing mate, do you get more feedback with the gretsch single coils than you would with their filter tron humbuckers? great jet BTW :D

  • nice peice i forgetthe name of the one im gettin but it sounds great have to tune it tooooo much though but its totally worth it cause im a rythum, guitarist

  • thats a great sound you have there! nice piece too

  • Hi Gorath,

    Read above.

  • HA I recognized that bit imediately!!

yeah Paul Pigat all the way.

bet it would sound good if you kicked in a little delay. otherwise its a nice guitar man.

  • iv got a gretsch duo jet, but i just dont like it, dont like that tone at all theres no balls to it

  • Sell it to me! Seriously!

  • Haha, yeah, sure. Either you're lying your balls off, or you're one stupid idiot spending $2,450.00 on a guitar you don't like the tone of. It's a possibility that you are filthy rich too, and you dont know what to spend all the cash on, but I would prefer if it was out of stupidity :D

  • i spose i was wrong, iv got the chinese one, or had the chinese opne i shud say, it was ok, bit soft, iv got a tele now, fenders are the only guitars for me,

  • Hi Flump. I´m just using an analog delay. No distortion at all.

  • are you using any distortion or does it sound that good by itself?

  • Thanks...That´s a piece I´ve learned from an instructional video - Paul Pigat - Rockabilly Guitar from learnrootsmusic Check it out, cause is a great DVD.

  • This is cool. I dig your tone... very rockabilly. What is the piece you're playing, and where can I find tab for it?

  • The owner of the video can correct me, but that sure sounds like the Gallup style riff taught by Paul Pigat on his Rockabilly Guitar DVD. Am I wrong?

  • Yes Mike that´s right. I´ve explained that earlier on another post and I highly recommend that DVD to anyone interested in rockabilly guitar. The other Paul Pigat videos are quite good too.

  • that's funny. i'm a friend of paul's, but i got here by just searching out guitar sounds and went, "wait a minute. i know that riff..."

paul's actually recently been made a representative for gretsch. finally somebody is taking notice of how talented he is.
