this is so dumb...y not get the new genesis coupe r-spec. you get all the performance without all the dumb stuff you dont need. not to mention its $20k less than this. i mean i can get tein coilovers, carbon hood and trunk, and a new set of wheels which i wont need for $4k. this is just dumb plus who wouldnt want the brembos? sadly someone will buy it just because it has RMR on it though...

I seriously thought the Genesis would be much faster than this especially the 3.8 track and now with mods. A serious disappointment, the exterior styling is nice but the interior feels and looks too plastic. Still for the price I would personally prefer the 2.0t with the track package and modify it myself.

Through in a full cat back exhaust system complete with headers for 1100$ through in a Custom Intake, 220$ Through in some adujustable cam gears and a After market pulley, 600$ in all, Through in a performance suspension kit 1300$ ,,,,Not only would it be faster...But it would be for 35.000.. so this bull shit for 45.000 is rediculous..

Thats amazing and its 60lbs lighter. Again seems like a huge waste of time for what seems like a ricer hood and trunk lid. Just buy the stock and put the mods on yourself. Save yourself a few grand and get a superior car. Millen has a lot to learn about the custom car industry it seems. This car is not worth it.

@i240sx 60-0 is not the be all end all measuring stick of brake performance. Brake fade is way more important than how far you can stop from 60 on a track.

@i240sx Sometimes brake upgrades dont show in regular stops. Most likely, the stop tech brakes have less fade and longer life/heat resistance on the track. That is a huge difference you won't see on the street. After a few laps the OE will fade and that 111feet to stop from 60 will turn to 160feet, or worse a wall.
Not defending this car, because you'd be better off building your own for that price (some r888s+vortech s/c basic coil overs, slotted rotors, hawk pads, and a streetable clutch).

Buy the track pack for 30k and you can easily shed 60lbs of weight to match this car.
If the benefits of this RMR coupe are it's factory-performance driving dynamics, why not spend your 45 G's on an Infiniti G37S Coupe.

the StopTech setup is probably more fade resistant on the track though, a couple 60-0 stops won't heat the StopTech's up to optimal temperature; that's the way it is with most upgraded brake systems

@i240sx Sometimes brake upgrades dont show in regular stops. Most likely, the stop tech brakes have less fade and longer life/heat resistance on the track. That is a huge difference you won't see on the street. After a few laps the OE will fade and that 111feet to stop from 60 will turn to 160feet, or worse a wall.
Not defending this car, because you'd be better off building your own for that price (some r888s+vortech s/c basic coil overs, slotted rotors, hawk pads, and a streetable clutch).

I know. Im just specifically stating what the ceo's of hyundai aimed for and that was in fact, to offer a coupe better than honda accord coupe, altima coupe, and g37(failed on that one). Hyundai beat 2/3 of its competition, but since the mustang just so happend to be in that 3rd it didn't beat people want to bash the car and say its bad. Whats funny is hyundai didn't even acknowledge ford as a goal.

I dont think u are getting the point im trying to make. Hyundai themselves r compairing the genesis coupe to a 2 seater coupe, when the car they build is a 2+2. And wut does the 370z have anything to do with being in a cage.... The msrp for a v4 genesis coupe is 24k, the v6 is 29k, the z's msrp is around 29k also, so r u saying ull take the genesis?

how you determine quality is your opinion. < that does not make this car overrated. The sound as nice as the z is also your opinion. So right there those comments are automatically excluded from the hyundai being overrated. The only thing you can complain about is the torque issue. 1.) issue doesn't make it overrated.

This is just the beginning you pansies. Hyundai announced after releasing the genesis that they will soon have 400+ hp cars soon, easily. 370z was an upgrade from a 350z. Compared to cars having a long history, having acheived this much at first try needs a good round of applause. And about the cheap quality? maybe that's just your set mentality on the name of Hyundai

Actually for a loaded 370Z its around $35K. For a loaded Genesis Coupe 3.8 Track is around $32K. BTW. The Genesis Coupe 2.0T is a Inline 4 not a V4.

this car is overrated, i agree it is a good car for the money, but hyundai compairing this to the 370z is just stupid. Even tho it is cheaper, but the quality of the feel of the thing is horrible, it feels cheap, even the track day model. The engine torque hangs like hell, nor the sound is as nice the 370z. ill pay the couple grand more for the 370z

You do know it was never compared to the 370z by hyundai right? The car was designed to perform slightly better than the overpriced sedan/coupe conversions. Honda accord/Nissan Altima etc. Didn't beat the g37, but hey it was a shot
