Yeah I saw the occasional person saying that. However, once I got out of Korriban and Dromund Kass I never encountered another person saying anything of the sort. I burst out laughing. Don't get mad when I tell you this, but cinematic trailers are not gameplay. PVP is nothing like that. You're being hyped by their marketing team, and you're going to discover it's a $300,000,000 shit WoW clone with no content. I've tested it myself, and the current beta testers are confirming they're jamming a lot of shit in the game to rush it out, but it isn't working. The game has no end game content too. @LesterMDK What was wrong with Dragon Age II? It was a complete break from the pace and setting of the first game but overall I found it very enjoyable. My only gripe was with the re-used maps. Yes SWTOR use the same core mechanics as WoW, but so do almost every other MMO out there. WoW copied it from EQ. Its a genre staple. Almost all "innovative" MMOs divering from this formula have been utter failures. The only really successful one that I can think of i EVE.

I am a tester, no. There is open world PvP in some servers. PvE servers still have HUTBALL and BATTLE FOR ALD. On PvE servers you can duel other players from the other faction tho.
