actually no. the fact that crossfire was realistic is a GOOD THING. the problem was that the gameplay was a bit too slow-paced and the graphics were horrbile (for PS3 that is). plus some of the dialogue was cheesy and in some cases just incorrect. but yeah, DEFINETLY GET A 360 FOR THIS GAME. i play it on my friend's modded 360 and IT IS AMAZING.

OW COME ON!.. dude the REASON it was slow was because it was realistic... I don't think in real life you're gonna be moving around in a gundam or a zaku at Armored Core speeds... and I have to agree about the dialog there were so many mispronunciations in it... but Mobile Ops is no different... u do have a point, but that still doesnt take away from the fact that the graphics were simply fucking ATROTIOUS for a PS3 game, none the less. hell the water looks like freaking TARP, the muzzle flashes look like sheets of paper/a cheap PS2 FX, and even thought ill accept that it was slower to be realistic, that doesnt take away that the frame rate is EXTREMELY INCONSISTENT. if the game had way smoother framerate, id probably like Crossfire alot more than i do now, tho.

I love the game the framerate never bothered me during a battle and I don't complain about graphics as long as the gameplay is good... which it is... although the only place I can really complain about this game is that it's WAY to short but the ability to carry over your rank and stuff makes up for that... I can't wait to get this game though... It's gonna be amazing...

realism isnt bad at all. it all depends on the style of gameplay the developers are looking for. whether it be arcade style or realism, they both have their pros and cons. this game is realism up the ass, aside from a few minor glitches here and there. but yeah, there are still arcade style mecha games out there.

It reminds me a lot of Gundam Side Story 0079 for Dreamcast. There is a reason why that game is so expensive and rare, it is because it is a kind of system they do not usually use. I mean, cmon, first person mobile suit combat is kind of cool, gives you a better feel for it. I dont know about you, but I wish I would live long enough to drive a mobile suit. So gotta keep an open mind and understand they are trying to bring back that same feel which made 0079 so popular.

Even MS are susceptible to infantry... all it really takes is one good bazooka (or other anti-vehicle weapons) hit and the MS will go down. Look at 08th MS Team. Which it looks like this game implements.

much of the zeon ground forces are based upon the Nazi Germany theme (flag, helmet, small arms) and the Fed is based upon current western forces. it is a subtle theme that does show in the anime and whatnot...

The concept about involving actual on foot work is quite compelling. Yet, from looking at the gameplay from other videos, it only seems that the graphics about this game are up to date. It tends to lack realism in some areas that may require it. Such as when a gundam is grounded and in front of you, instead of you tripping over it or steping over it, you'll push it along still. Or when being shot at by a mobile suit.

I'm comfortable watching someone else play it. It does looks good though.
