beautifully done - well thought out, clean and innovative...EXCEPT!!! Why did you hang the peavy like that? Why didn't you run it over the CD drawer - that way you can access your 2500, CD drawer, mixer connections incase one pops loose...
@jonpaulevans No room, the Peavey is a really deep unit & it would of hit the bottom of the mixer & not fit all the way in. I tried that position already & the only way to of getting it to git there would of meant sacrificing my slide out keyboard. They Keyboard played a very important role so it wasn't going anywhere. Besides the Peavey did a good job of hiding all that was going on in the rear of the racks & gave a clean finished look. With it under the light I could make changes in the dark.
The Cue method is the only thing about this system that I didn't like & actually the only reason why I sold this system. However I miss the compactness of this system so I am about a week out from ordering a Denon DN-mc6000, I considered the Pioneer DDJ-S1 but I can get the Denon in my hands with a laptop supporting case for a couple hundred less then just the Pioneer system alone would cost. Also the DN-MC6000 is much more compact which is the main thing I am looking for, sorry Pioneer.
@juana19881 I made up a custom cable to go into the mic in on the mixer. I had other processing such as the MXR Smartgate going on in between the Peavey Deltaflex & the mixer. The Deltaflex was used as two independent processing, one channel set for effects for my mic while the other was set with different effects for the sampler. The Deltaflex allows you two mix down two independent sources with independent processing into a single channel output.
Yeah, your video is awesome, but I need to learn how-to the setup...I have a denon hd2500 and my laptop, and I can´t use it to control virtual dj with it !!! what am I doing wrong?? please, do a step-by-step video for people like me! I use denon since 25 years ago...
@arturopayansalazar wow, I do remember I had the same issue the first time I tried to get Virtual DJ to work with this. I sold this system a couple weeks after making this video thus making it almost a year ago since I had this system. I can't clearly remember what I did to get it to work but I think I updated the firmware, updated to the latest Virtual DJ then went into the configure secton of the Denon. Sorry for not being able to help you further.
@Beaker1998 Do a search on Ebay, that's where I got all the different parts to make the patch bay, you may need to order from various vendors since I couldn't find one that had everything I was looking for.
@jostie1995 Actually I am a Pioneer fan. I just so happened upon a number of good deals that enabled me to be able to put this little system together as compact substitute for my main Pioneer system. I don't really like the cue system on the Denon but other then that this was a great little system that performed well, I have since sold this system but I still have my Pioneer rig.
Wow that pretty cool that you make that light very good idea. Do you leave your Hd2500 switch on so when you turn on everything it just turns on too. I hate where the put the on switch for it. Will it hurt it just to leave it on? Thanks
Yes I leave the HD2500 powered on but I may run it through an in-line switch so when I cycle out of Midi mode I don't have to turn the entire rack off (Yes switch location is bad on this unit). I may do more videos of future upgrades or I may just list the updates on this video, this is only the 2nd video I have narrated because I hate public speeches (I have no issue on the mic while doing my gigs).
@MrNightro keep up the vids man it really helps. I havent really done any upgrades to the case so I havent done any more videos yet but as soon as I do I will post up some new vids. Dont worry man your public speaking sounds great keep it up I am looking forward to future videos thanks Isaac.
Alright Nightro we are pretty much the same setup nice job. I really like the power con. I want to put that into my case. I like the 1u light what is the make and model of that. That is awsome also. Really nice job I shouldnt have got rid of my x stand I never thought of using the top really could have came in handy when i was doing a simple gig with no table. Hope to see other video from you soon.
Due to the low profile of the Lstand by odyssey no commercial rack lights would fit under it yet still provide the light coverage I required. So the unit you see is something I built myself using some spare parts from the custom gaming computers I build. All the parts to build it can be found on frozencpudotcom, switch is Part #: ele-400, light is Part #: lit-184. Two part Epoxy glue to glue the light in place then drill a hole for the switch, then used a 12v 1A wall pack.
please suggest where we can buy those couplers/connections you're using?

@MrNightro thanks for the response. What does the peavey piece add to your setup/performance?
