REgarding the Lavon affair, it was in time in which Israel had no friendly and cooparative relationship with USA. today the cooperation is in a whole new level. and it would have been serious mistake to even consider to perform the 9/11 attack since in case it was discovered that Israel have done it, USA could wipe us of the world.

Israel must come to terms with the Palestinians. The impression they give to the world is arrogance. With the USA as their ally. But who know what US policy, or abilities will be in ten or twenty years? If they dont come to some sort of treaty with their neighbours, then it is not easy to imagine a scenario, that does not end badly. I am very pro Israel, but fear their current policy will lead to disaster.

What the Israeli general population do not understand is the American view of Israel. True there are Jewish-American in Congress and Senate, as well as many Jewish lobbyists, but what really quites American politicians in power? The answer is that the polticians view as a strategical pawn in the chess game against Russia and in some degree, China. I think it would be in Israels best interest to treat it's neighbors kindly and establish a system in which Palestinans could live happy lives.
