This was less than half the distance that he practiced on with the Marines. and oh yeah, it wasn't the government that made him crazy, it was his even crazier mother.

He is seen smiling a very odd, out of place, uncomfortable smile while he is positioned in an uncomfortable forced way. There is something, whatever it may be, stirring in his mind and he doesn't look too happy. Compare his position to that of his family around him. He doesn't want to be there. What did he want?
