  • Why can't soapnet rerun this one? Who cares about One Tree Hill, it's not even a soap. And you REAL soap fans know what i'm talking 'bout!!!! Does anyone out there have any LOVING footage of back when Ava's sister Carly didn't know she had this son with Paul Slavinsky. His name was Michael and he used to go to sleep listening to Sweet Baby James by James Taylor.

  • @MrChicago891 Excuse me but One Tree Hill is a soap. It has a continuing story with love triangles, villians, murder, sex blaclmail, and so on. Have you ever watched the show because if you had you'd know it was a soap. Also, sometimes it is not as easy as you think to rerun an old show. Depends on who owns the show, licensing, syndication, and so on. Many fans make comments with little to no knowledge of the business dynamics of TV. Plus, no one hardly watched this show during its original run.

  • so since ava's husband showed up on the city and she didn't i am assuming he and ava got divorced at the end of loving?did steffy have her baby she was pregnant with at the end of loving or did she have a miscarriage?

  • I was just a kid at the end of lovings run... i had just became addicted to soaps through days of our lives demon possession storyline .. I only liked the crazy storylines lol would try to watch any soap that had something exciting and intriguing going on.. loving had the best killer storyline i had ever seen ! then it became the city which i also actually liked after it got started and had its killer story hehe lol.

  • Too bad that no one seems tohave Stacey's murder (the first).

  • It was one of the most amazing story lines in soap opera history. Unforgettable and still talked about to this day.

  • Refresh my memory why was Curtis in the hospital or where ever he was ?

  • Dante, Tess' husband held him prisoner in a cage and that really messed with his mind, plus Dinah Lee left him for Trucker.

  • He went crazy and went to Burnell's Department store and was going to hurt someone, I can't remember who, maybe it was Gwyn, caught him and so they sent him back to the insane asylum

  • Thanks I was trying to remember but couldn't

  • I think the main reason why he ended up there in the first place was that he sabotaged a plane which crashed. Janey Sinclair was killed and Dinah Lee was temporarily paralyzed. At that time, there was also that twin story with Jeremy/Gilbert, and Gilbert (posing as Jeremy) caused Curtis to lose his mind to the point where he ended up shooting Gwyneth. I think there's more to it, but my mind's kinda fuzzy.

  • I see Christopher Marcantel reprised his role as Curtis. He was the first of about four actors who played him over the years.

  • Do you have Stacy's murder?

  • It's great to see these classic moments again (and Tony still annoys me 14 years later). The cast was so tightly knit and made so much out of little. This story was one of the few suspenseful murder mysteries I've seen on soap.

  • I consider if one of the great mysteries of all-time in soap history for sure. It was such an INTELLIGENT story.

I rank it up there with daytime mysteries like "who shot Roger Thorpe" on Guiding Light and "who killed Will Cortlandt" on All My Children.

  • I agree with that. It really made a lot of sense and was riveting the whole way through. Most soap mysteries, especially over the past 10 years, have been more about stunts and are obviously made up as they go along.

  • My god can yo believe it's been fourteen years, I think Tony is hot as hell.

  • Does anyone have the video on how Stacey was murdered I know she was murdered with poisoned body powder, but do anyone have the scene.

  • I'd love to see them too.

  • This is cool, but I have two questions: Why do the words "Figure it out" keep appearing on the bottom left-hand corner of the screen? And what's with the clicking noises?

  • I think these are the episodes that were re-aired on ABC again before the conclusion of the storyline wrapped up. One of the cast members, I think it was Noelle Beck, hosted a few weeks of episodes where we saw again the murders before it was revealed that Gwenyth Alden was the murderer.

  • It was actually the lady who played Stacy who hosted he re-aired episodes.

  • Yes, that's right. They reran selected episodes because of the preemptions from the OJ murder trial.

  • Interesting...

I remember reading somewhere that the OJ Simpson murder trial really screwed up daytime television throughout much of 1995, like a lot of soaps were pre-empted or had their episodes shortened so their networks could cover the trial during daytime...

  • That was true. 1994 and 1995 were badly damaged by the OJ coverage. Ratings fell and never went back up, although I think that was partially because the soaps had started to decline in quality.

  • That's a shame. Then again I also read somewhere that Loving was never much of a ratings powerhouse throughout its entire run anyway. Which sucks, 'cause I think a lot of people missed out on a fantastic show.

  • That is so true they were ALWAYS at the bottom of the ratings, but still this was a GREAT storyline!

  • @HawaiisCW93

One of the biggest problems was scheduling it against "Young and the Restless"... it had been suggested around the mid-80's at some point to move "Loving" to a time slot between AMC and OLTL, which at the time were among the highest rated soaps on TV. I still maintain that at least by the time "Ryan's Hope" was cancelled in '89, ABC should have pulled out more of the stops (like this scheduling change) to get more viewers to "Loving".

  • Your very right OJ is responsible for the canceling of Loving and Another World

  • The clicking noises are from Gwen's locket.

  • Everytime "Figure It Out" appeared, it was at a scene that revealled a very pivotal clue...look at the scenery and really listen to the dialogue when it appears...you get a TON of clues to figure out the identity of the murderer...

  • Oh, cool! Thank you!

  • So what were the clues? I never watched Loving, but this storyline is almost a legend...how was the 2nd guy killed? Drugged and drowned?

  • Curtis was knocked out by a gas leak while he was in that immersion tank.

  • Thanks for uploading these scenes ChuckR7 I loved this soap and it did go out with a bang!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • how was clay murdered? could someone please give me the backstory on gwen and clay's relationship

  • Gwen and Clay had a rocky marriage. They had a couple of children together, including Curtis and Trisha. By the time of the murder mystery, they had been divorced for quite some time.

Clay was murdered because the killer put poison in his champainge.

  • thank you for posting this

  • yes yes yes i have been waiting to see this for ages. i never watched the series b/c i wasn 't living in the US at the moment but i have always heard of the murders.

  • Thanks for posting!
