How does xp work in aion? If you're grouped is it divided? or does everyone recieve the same amount?

It's divided within the group. However, the highest level gain the most.

thanks for the video! saw it and made a chanter and am level 19 now but mine seems to be doing a quite lot less damage than yours? mine is full green level 17/18 armor (chain of undead) it feels like im missing something, like filling in attributes or something..

do u use powershots? equip yourself with crit and atkpower stones (most expensive ones =/). use chant of rage if u can grind the mobs savely with no downtime. you will soon get the hp/mana regen aura, so dont waste too much items on mp. dont save your money on new staffs. if u have some money left upgrade it (+10 ^0^). but most important, use the skills when your char is about to swing, then the skill will be casted directly after the autoattack. basically a autoatk - skill rotation.

one question. do you equip those stones on your armor pieces? (anw....how) . if yes can you unequip them if you want to equip them to your new armor piece?

hi darthro,

jacket, pants, gloves, shoes, pauldrons, weapons and shields can be equipped with manastones. the items have 1 to 6 slots. every time u add a stone to a slot, theres a certain chance to fail. if u fail all previously added stones are gone (and stones become kinda expensive in late game) but the item wont break. and yes u can remove manastones, but they will be destroyed. ergo manastones can be used just once.

ive a lvl 28 chanter now... the grind flow is very smooth. most ppl dont know how to kill mobs and spam skills and forget to use the skills immediately after the autoattack which delivers most of the dmg.

the fastest way to grind though is motion cancelling, but with that kinda ping and atkspeed its hard to fire whole combos. and its mp intensive. think im goin to play a tank in europe release :)

Good job, could u give some details on buffs, mantras and wishes? I heard that most buffs arent worth anything since they do not scale at all. Are the wishes spammable?

I would've linked you further to the class list at areyouhellbound(dot)com but their forums don't seem to be working for a while now.

I don't know about these wishes (only played a chanter up to 26/27) so they might turn up later? But when it comes to mantras they work like auras (paladin from wow) and increase stuff like run speed, knockback resistance, magic hit and accuracy, physical attack, inc defense parry, hp regen, mana regen etc.

Chanter got the priest buffs (10% max hp and 10% inc def) and self buffs like inc parry rating, inc physical attack and probably more. But like I said before I've not played chanter to high enough level to actually experience the "real" deal.

mantras seem to be interesting. i read that you can keep up 2 mantras at a time. with 2 chanters the partymembers can receive up to 4 mantras simultaniously.

i love the look of chant of rage. can you cancel that buff instantly? or do you have to wait till it runs out...

i read many things about wishes from korean forums. they turn out to be the real boost for a party in many situations if used adaptively.

You can actually have 3 mantras going, I think 4 in patch 1.2 (at least some patch).

You are probably talking about the 15s Buffs that are actually worth something (the Mantras pretty much aren't worth anything, yeah). Those 15s Buffs are good, the cooldown on them is 10s, so they are spammable, they just cost a ton of mana, so you will need manapotions to be able to spam them.

People say they become weaker after lv25. I'm playing on several characters so I've not yet gotten there on my chanter, so I can't really say much about how the class is at higher lvls. They are probably not as strong as other classes but got potential. I'm sure skilled people will get far with it :]. If they get more buffs in the coming patches they will be a joy to play for people who like to be the jack of all trades.
