@1290001 Download it off steam. It comes with dosbox (A Dos Emulator) so any computer can play it. it's like 5$ off steam so i would get it if your a fan. GL MATE :)

My dad used to play this for 5 hours straight back in 1992. Then he stopped playing, and found out about Spear Of Destiny. He also stopped playing that, and found it back in 08'.

this is weird.. i got every enemy and treasure in this map yet the game still didn't award me the proper achievement.. (xbox 360 version)

at the end the extra life counts as the last 5% of the treasure (extra lives counts as treasure for some reason) or else if you have that all, double check all the treasure spots since u need to be in the exact same spot for it to register and pick the treasure up so double check that you haven't missed any

Wrong elevator maybe? You need to use the one through the secret passage to the right as you enter the final room.

Already found out what the problem was. I had a version of wolf3d (think it was an old one) having that problem. It was fixed when i used a newer version

I own the Activision collection, which has the final versions of Wolf and Spear, and have not run into pushwall bugs yet. You may have older versions that could cause the problem.

Also, a couple levels are impossible to 100% - E2L8, Spear level 20, maybe a couple others.

Check my SoD Level 19 video. When I move the first two steel pushwalls, they move three tiles when they should move only two, this blocks an extra clip and food, and had I opened the third steel pushwall, a Chalice. This is actually a documented bug that wasn't fixed because they didn't know what caused it, I tried with one of the 1.4 EXEs and it did the same.

I thought I heard somewhere that this may be caused by your computer being too fast - no idea whether that's true or not. I'll look into it should I ever try a level with that problem.

Yeah, I readed the same in one of the FAQs wandering about. A consistent workaround is lowering the clock cycles than DOSBox emulates, I tried it and then the pushwalls moved finely. However, I'm sure than it would affect the video recording (Tons of missed frames) and also you will have to raise or lower the emulation speed on the fly, wasting time while B.J. becomes sleepy.

Yeah, when I've played this game, I've only worried about 100% kills, as there are "bugs," so to speak with the other things.

I'm not talking about playing with DOSBox maximized, but that you use the Change View option in Wolf3D/SoD to make the playscreen bigger.

Thanks for the tip, wasn't aware it made a difference! That's also why I picked the first level, so kinks could be worked out before the harder stuff.

And yes, you are right about 10 min limit...ah well, I'll do what I can.

Fine run, however, maximize the screen size, I don't know why you played with the default smaller one.

About why I don't do 100% runs, is because Youtube 10 mins limit doesn't helps and because my SoD version got a bug where pushwalls that should move only two tiles moves three, and this usually blocks an object (You guessed it, it may block treasure). I should try another one.
