You'd think a manga about a bunch of girls with the same hair color, same armor and same weapon would be a "we all look the same!" situation, but Yagi managed to draw a variety of faces (Clare with her sober eyes, Ilene with her beak nose, etc.) and makes each character distinct.

I think the face distinction is what makes Claymore really unique. It gives the characters a personality and an individual identity if they ever go bald. Also I love their names because their easy to remember

You can´t compare an anime like Claymore, Clannad, Soul Eater, etc. with an Anime like Bleach, Naruto or One Piece. The really long running ones like One Piece and Bleach are just to make money, they aren´t made very well even if there´s an awesome storyline in the Mangas. The best animes are the ones which tell their story till the end and are well made in every detail.
i cant wait to see whats coming up next cause now that Roxi is with her im wondering if he grows up and becomes like a protector of Clare where he was training with hes sword work an also if maybe if it moves into the future where hes older and maybe they fall in love or something like that cause that wud be sweet as hell.

Claymore is a great anime but there are a lot that are just as good as claymore which made me unable to chose which one to be my most fav. For that there are none and i think all anime that made me cried or laugh my ass off are GREAT AND BEAST!!!!

the season ended in 2007 and the manga started in 2001. Took them 6 years to make an anime out of it. They could probably make another season since more chapters of the manga came out, even though the ending was altered in the anime.
It ended on September 26, 2007. Even though that was a while ago, if there is a second season it should be soon, hopefully (Darker than Black ended two days after that and they released a second season a while ago...)
Anyways, I hope they release a second season, too...

@deadpeng No, but the events in the end of the anime were so different that they couldn´t continue at the time. Now, there´s a voting for the 2nd season of claymore. Google it, it should come up somewhere. (You will have to find a walkthrough for this, if you don´t know japanese since the whole site is in japanese).
there won't be, they changed the story in MAJOR ways to finish the show, so they'd have to go back and change season 1 so that they could continue to follow the story.
This anime was the best plus I love all the songs from each person my top 5 characters I like from this anime are (1)Tereasa, (2) Irene (3) Priscilla (4) Deneve (5) Clare =D
Claymore PWNS! It's the best anime I've ever seen. And it's FAAAAAAAAAR SUPERIOR to the overrated animes of todays time like bleach, DBZ, one piece, and naruto(But naruto and one piece arn't too far away in greatness.).
@TheLightning227 One Piece should have done better, I mean a overly hyperactive kid does not make very good main character it's annoying. DBZ I never found the other series to be bad at all until the Dragonball GT started. Naruto is okay but it's getting too prdictable. But absolutely LOVE Claymore though!! I didn't think anything could top it in gore and blood until I saw some of the Baccano series.

i swear, there better be a second season of claymore, it was way too good not to have a second season. does anyone know when they finished the first?

the season ended in 2007 and the manga started in 2001. Took them 6 years to make an anime out of it. They could probably make another season since more chapters of the manga came out, even though the ending was altered in the anime.

It ended on September 26, 2007. Even though that was a while ago, if there is a second season it should be soon, hopefully (Darker than Black ended two days after that and they released a second season a while ago...)
Anyways, I hope they release a second season, too...

@deadpeng No, but the events in the end of the anime were so different that they couldn´t continue at the time. Now, there´s a voting for the 2nd season of claymore. Google it, it should come up somewhere. (You will have to find a walkthrough for this, if you don´t know japanese since the whole site is in japanese).

there won't be, they changed the story in MAJOR ways to finish the show, so they'd have to go back and change season 1 so that they could continue to follow the story.

I think i like it, i loved irene's song!
I myself think the anime was awesome too bad the producers "raped" it in the last 3 ep's!

Claymore PWNS! It's the best anime I've ever seen. And it's FAAAAAAAAAR SUPERIOR to the overrated animes of todays time like bleach, DBZ, one piece, and naruto(But naruto and one piece arn't too far away in greatness.).

It's because those other ones are mainstream.
Just the stuff that gets new people hooked on anime and they go crazy over that stuff.
Also note how mainstream stuff is ridiculously overstretched in series length.

@TheLightning227 One Piece should have done better, I mean a overly hyperactive kid does not make very good main character it's annoying. DBZ I never found the other series to be bad at all until the Dragonball GT started. Naruto is okay but it's getting too prdictable. But absolutely LOVE Claymore though!! I didn't think anything could top it in gore and blood until I saw some of the Baccano series.

@TheLightning227 I think comparing Claymore to any of those mangas is like comparing apples to oranges; they're all very different styles from Claymore. Can the dark and gory Claymore really be compared to the upbeat, silly One Piece? Why don't I just compared Dr. Slump with Deathnote?

@tarkeke I totally agree with you. I'd love to see the rest of the story animated but... well, they way they ended it, I don't think they could make another season... We still have the manga anyway^^

@Dusk252 if they were to make a new season, they couldn't have followed up with the manga, regarding the anime ending..=( a couple of ova's would have been nice though imo, just like they did with kenshin

@tarkeke Yeah, that's exactly what I said... that the way they ended it it would be nearly impossible to follow the manga. But yeah, making ova's to "replace" the last few episodes would be a nice idea for them to be able to carry on the show. Though I still think it's unlikely they'll ever do that...

ih..how da hell is DBZ an anime of today??..its older then this...much older..and not overrated..as it started shit..Claymore is good i cant lie.. (usually animes that only have women tend to suck...) but this did good. not better then dbz or onepiece.. But its pretty good pretty good.. i put it on the same rank as air gear.. but dbz one piece yuyu hakusho RURURURUROUNI kenshin ...on a whole nother lvl...

a 2nd season trailer is rumored to have come out in Japan. I haven't seen it yet but am really hoping the 2nd season pushes through. I cn't understand why some people say that the anime was a total fail. I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!

They probably say it was a total fail because of how they completely changed the Rigardo fight and the events after which basically prevents a second season from following the storyline of the manga.
