is the time lapse software come with the camera or did you use something else, also i here that camera thake a tape for hi def if so how do you get the footage to youtube nd is it the same quality?
@M0Etivation - unfortunately no, the software did not come with the camera. I used Adobe After Effects for the "Time Lapse Effect" in post production. There is a free tutorial on how this is done at videocopilot (dot) net. Its is lesson # 29 under the tutorials tab. To get the footage onto You Tube, I leave the tape in the camera and use a program to import the footage via a 1394 Firewire cable. This is one of the best HD cameras I have ever owned. Highly recommend it! Thanks!
Looks really nice actually, for being on Auto settings it looks fantastic. Where did you buy your mount? I'd like to try something like this too with my XL2.
Thank you for the positive feedback! I am trying to play catch up from the past six months or so of not posting anything so hopefully this is a good start. One of those spur of the moment ideas. Unfortunately, the compression quality on YouTube took all the wind out of this video's sail so that is why I posted the link in the description to Vimeo.
I have not quite figured out the best settings for HD quality on YouTube as of yet.
Update: Well maybe I did figure it out after all. :)
I noticed now on the page it gives you the option to "watch in standard quality" or "watch in high quality". That option must take a little while after posting because I did not see it there earlier. The "watch in high quality" link definitely makes a difference.
There is a new link you can get in video: The "Watch in HD" link. Theres tons of tutorials on how to get it. It's crystal clear quality. Is Time Map the effect used where you can slow down or speed up movies?
