3:28 That's should be a pianissimo!!! Does he even know what he's singing??? Just like in his Boris Godunov at the Met, he simply throwing notes. No interpretation; he could be singing a shopping list. Oh, and of course, you don't understand a word.
La voce è spessa ed importante, ma l'interprete è veramente modesto. C'è da dire che il video è vecchiotto per cui le cose potrebbero essere migliorate, anche se l'Otello di Muti non mi entusiasma nemmeno un po'
the final note would be flat if he was singing a B, but he sang a B flat, and in tune. This is a good voice that shows promiss.Hope he doesn't rush into heavier roles too soon, but I suspect he'll end up as a Wagner specialist-it should suit him well.
Yes, his Met debut is this spring as well, as the Prince in Rusalka. Kind of a thankless role for a tenor of his calibre, but I'm sure he will progress on to some better things.
If you have a chance, watch some videos on youtube from his recent Otello at Salzburg. It has been a few years, and he's gained a measure of robustness and control. I find it to be a very promising voice!

Thanks Vickermans, I try not to be ignorant at least. I love how at least some people like you are civil and educated enough to reason in Youtube comments.. it gets ugly so often. :) All the best to you and Antonenko!
He has improved a lot since 2005. His Hermann is breathtaking!

Nice voice, but the French is really bad (but then only we French manage that properly, it IS a dreadful language for singing)
