As a figure skating fan, this was my favorite performance of the three finalists. Bourne/Lemieux had the best emotion whereas (sorry! in advance) Sale/Simpson's program looked more like an exhibition routine.

Just heard the interview with CL on Q, where he confirmed something I have been thinking in regard to the strength of the male contestants and their capacity to lift. Certainly being a figure skater of any sort takes a lot of strength, but he said that, because of Shae-Lynn's somewhat taller and stockier build, she hadn't had the chance to do many platter lifts in her career. He seemed really happy to have been able to do that with/for her. What a gentleman!

When I saw Shae-Lynn and Claude skate this and listened to Claude's vocals, I was totally blown away. Absolutely beautiful. On the negative side? I think Claude may have just overshadowed his hockey career. I do hope a DVD is on the way.

I really don't think they chose this song for religious reasons. It's a beautiful song and it works wonderfully for figure skating.

The song is religious in the same sense Poison's "Something to Believe In" is religious - not devout but spiritual.

It is a beautiful song to skate to and really suits Claude's voice. I have a feeling that one of Shae Lynn's students may want to steal the routine (though not that high lift because that would be illegal for dance).
