This is great music! The Mcguire sisters are the best of all the female groups. By the way, the one person at the bottom, rated this as "dis I like!!"
Thank you very much 78s4FR for showing the record player and 78 r.p.m. This takes me back to the 60's when my mom would play her 78 albums I was just a little girl listening to the songs while I play with my dolls. This song brings tears to my eyes beautiful song great memories. Thank you God Bless! : ) RIP mom...
Compliments on these and all the other wonderful titles in your 78 r.p.m. disc collection. I'm just starting to rediscover this great-sounding genre by shopping in stores and on-line. Trying to think in conteporary terms of the times, these tracks are good enough to have made this records a double-sided hit!
I just saw the McGuire Sisters tonight (11-29-09) on PBS singing a medley of their hits and they look and sound great for ladies who have to be in their late 70s. Thanks for posting, 78s4FR, and I think you meant to write in your opening sentence "whose" career not "who's."
You're welcome. I had a strong feeling that you knew the correct word, but, as we all have done, plugged in the wrong word this time. I appreciated hearing from you.
I watched them on TV (PBS) tonight. They all looked good. I think they may be in their 70's, correct me if I'm wrong. They sang sincerly on stage... nice.
I danced to this one as a freshman in high school--years later I heard the original version by Harvey Fuqua and the Moonglows and it became my favorite especially for its Doowop beat. The McGuire sisters do a fine cover. Good old days....
thank you for posting this song!
