  • can you put two males together cause i am 13 years old and i have school please help mee :(

  • @dani47410

I think it would be a better idea to get two females....males are known to be a bit aggressive with each other...idk ask a pet store or breeder or vet or something.

  • This looks like a female because pearl male loses most of its spots within one year.

  • @Dennalilly You are wrong , I have many Tiels of both genders. I foster parrots and know my stuff I assure you. My females have never laid eggs, and they are well over 2 years. Not all females are excessive egg layers, only some. So if your female doesent lay , it does NOT mean its a male. && For this female tiel you can clearly see the bars decorating her tail. I dont mean to be rude , just helping out .

  • It is a male, judging by the color of head and and nonexistent stripes on the bottom side of the tail. Trust me, he's a male. Which is good:) males are known to be more eager to learn and more active! He's Beautiful by the way!

  • @MesaKay7 Why Thank you! Im not so sure because it is said that male cockatiels whistle and talk, and Pebbles is a year old now, still hasn't said anything. But I hear weird chirps once in awhile, like bird murmuring?

  • I think it is a female too.

  • its a female look at the feathers on his head if it was male it would be like curled up to front here its not nd the head the orange bit its not dark orange its light orange :D

  • Female

  • Female

  • A male has a white body it may be born with some gray spots but it changes overtime if its mostly a white body with a yellow head and red cheeks its a boy

  • I'm thinking female judging just from looks. If he/she starts singing/ talking though... it's most likely male.

  • female i can tell. male cockatiels will lose the pearls if male females keep them shes pretty

  • she's rlly beautiful :D love ur cockatiel

  • she is a beutyful bird that is a hen u can tell buy the pattern on her bac some times the hen will have a pattern under the tail were a cock would not

  • If their is lines under it it is a Female Ive had a bunch of cocatails so i know

  • male, males are more colorful and females are usually the grey ones with a little bit of color and hey that looks like my cockatiel

  • Female

  • FEMALE , The bands on her tail are an Instant giveaway. I have both Males & females. My Female tiels aslo have Bright red cheeks , their tails give it away. Males do not have bands on their tails , its a solid color.

  • male and i should know i got a boy one that has the face of yours

  • Male. Female cockatiels have less prominent cheek colour. The circle on this birds cheek is very orange, indicating that it is male.

  • Male denifity im sure of it females have have dots, strips on there tail and wings

  • It is a Female she has a lot more detail on her tail feathers then a male does

  • female

  • Female, because she still has her pearling.

  • Male coz females have alot of patterns on there tail feathers

  • @boly668 it doesnt have to be destilled water. my cockatiel drinks regular water :)

  • FEMALE

  • female

  • Male, his head is coloured diferently from it's body :)

  • female

  • You can learn a lot from the position of their crest. Down = aggressive, middle = happy, sticking up = frightened.

  • Check under her tail feathers. If its more than one color its a girl. If its a solid color its a boy/

  • I would say female becuz only males can whistle, sing and talk females can't do any of that.

  • if it has stripy tails or it dont chip alot its a girl if it has no stripes or chirps alot its a boy

  • also only males speak n if she starts speaking shes a boy. N if she lays period eggs, girl. And u could feel her too. If her pelvic bone is wider then its a femal! : D

  • every teil has a mowhawk. anyways, if they have spots then they are female, no spots male. i have a female. :)

  • @destined2Bfamous1 Thank you! Pebbles is now 12 months old, and I see spots under its wings, and lines under the tail. So this must mean that my birdie's a female! :]

  • @IT0KATE If she's 18 months old now, I'm pretty sure she should be laying eggs. If she isn't, she is a male.

  • @destined2Bfamous1 that's not right all tiels have spots, the only way to tell the differnece just by looking is to look under their wings. they all have a yellow line, if that line touches the body of the bird, its a female if it doesn't its a male. behaviourally, a male does whistle more than a female, but females can be vocal as well.

  • @destined2Bfamous1 so not true. I use to have a male cockatiel with spots he died about 3 or 4 years ago. now I have a beautiful female cockatiel :) yellow on the head and white on the rest of the body... well white with a hint of yellow

  • @PinkBubblzSayWah that is what u call a latina and yes u r rite becuz the bird is not a female i can tell its a male becuz its more stronger and it has more hair on the top of its head and its normal for allllllllcockatiels to have spots but u can tell if ia female if it has a line near its breasts

  • @destined2Bfamous1 your wrongg, it doesnt matter if they have spots or it matters on the cheeks if its cheeks are bright its a male if its not bright than its a girl

  • @destined2Bfamous1 Wrong. Having spots just means that your cockie's mutation is pearled. A regular gray female lacks the bright yellow head and bright orange cheek of the male; they are still the same colors, but they are more muted. A female will also have horizontal bars visible on the undersides of her tail feathers. Your cockatiel is lutino from the shoulders up but pearled otherwise... it's difficult to tell. If she lays eggs, then she's female. Males also talk more.

  • @destined2Bfamous1 And it's not a 'mohawk'; it's called a crest.

  • its a male males have mohawks

  • @dakling88 LOL ALL COCKATIELS HAVE MOHAWKS.. -____________-

  • @IT0KATE A moult is where old feathers fall out and are replaced by new ones. :)
