I agree with you there, but it's not just the "Duke", All the Loco's returned to steam from scrap condition are a great achievement, My dad was part of the original restoration team that got 6024 back into service, so I know first hand the ammount of time and effort required to achieve the high standards
Few people can appreciate what went into returning this fantastic loco to mainline service. I saw this loco in Barry scrapyard and wept. Now I work on it.
