  • Demonstruction?

  • Angryification?

  • is this amp good for playing some metal covers?

  • @swansroad Yep in my opinion it is (the rectifier setting)! just search for the video called 'Roland Micro Cube R-FIER Stack (metal) demo'

  • i got this amp

i cant use the tuning fork

  • @madman1441

you should tap it like you're ticking on a table

  • @Tjoppy When it says play the harmonic at the 5th fret does that mean hold it down or play the harmonic like a dive bomb?

  • @TheBluntLad Neither; just touch it; don't press it down and pick the string.

  • Nice vid mate :D

Can u tell me the settings of the song in min 7:00 ???

  • Don't know exactly but sounds like the amp setting was R-Fier and a lot of reverb.

  • hi, good demo...what it's your setup in classic stack I mean in which level do you have the volume, gain and tone knob....thanks man.

    jorge

  • thanks jorge!

    volume: about 9 o clock

    gain: full

    tone: 12 o clock

  • biar ttp semangat.. ane kasih 5/5 deh :D

    GL

  • what tune is from 4:00? i can't remember

  • I am not sure which is more impressive..howmany times you got up and turned the camera off(perhaps it was just done in editing). How long you sat with your legs crossed or how you managed to get 21,000 views with such average playing.LOL! Maybe when i get my micro cube I can get that many views also.:) Nice little amp anyway! Laterz!

    Axe

  • @Axewielderx haha indeed!

  • Don't you mean "demonstrating"? Hahaha, "demonstruction".

  • that's a demonstration and an instruction in one! :)

  • Yeah! I never thought of it that way before! :-)

    Good one!

  • you are playing so great and interesting!

    5 stars!

  • thanks retal06!

  • This thing surprisely better than Cube 15,20,30 and 60.

  • nah, it isn't. cube 30x is the best

  • I agree. Cube 20x sounds sterile by comparison. Microcube is much warmer

  • ahh ok thanks man

  • is this amp loud enough to be heard over traffic,,,if i were to play in a city or town on the street could it be heard,,,,and the overdrive channels,,,,do they sound clear or can the amp not handle it,,,dose it breakup at higher volume??

  • I wouldn't buy this amp if I were you. it's a practice amp, not a live performance amp. so indeed not loud enough and so on.

I recommend the Roland Cube STREET in your case.

  • Great review, but it only has 2 W, that is pretty low isn't it? Is more W better? Or what does W with the sound, I'm thinking of buying it soon, answer would be very helpfull ;)

  • it all depends on what you're planning on doing with it. If you want to perform on a stage with a band look for an amp with more power. if you plan on using it as a practice amp at home my opinion is that it's great for that.

  • Watts is only a very basic indicator of the volume. Not the tone.

  • Great review

  • Great playing with tremolo! Gotta try same as you :)

  • nice playing dude

  • Just bought one, which 'types' do you prefer more? Thanks!

  • you mean the amp types?

  • yeah!

  • I use the classic stack type mostly; that one has the best sound!

  • Hmm interesting, a friend of mine likes much the R-fier type. Have you ever tried recording direct (line instead of placing a mic) with it? Thanks!

  • Yep I did; check for instance my video called Farewell 2007; I used the 'rec out' on the back on that one.

  • I heard this amp uses batteries but, can you also plug it in the socket?(not sure if 'socket' is the right word XD maybe it supposed to be one of these : power-point, wall socket, plug socket, wall plug, eletric point.)

I hope you know what i mean :p

  • yes! i've never used batteries in it yet; it comes with an adapter so you can plug it in the wall socket :)

check the roland website for all its specifications!

  • Thanks :)

  • you can plug it into the wall if thats what you mean. I have one of these. It eats battery life quick but I ussually go into the wall with it. the amp modeling on it is decent.

  • Got to love the microcube! one if not the best practice amp out there!

  • that lick at 7:05 is cool...

    :)

i might get this amp for practice/recording...

  • at like 7-30 were u using alot of delay on the phaser setting? im trying to figure out how to make it sound like that, its so cool!

  • a LOT of delay? I experimented with the SPEED of the delay! :)

  • hahaha nice! im gunna try that thanks for the idea, keep up the good work!

  • Hey, at about 5:54 can you tell me what your settings were?

  • just the r-fier setting! full gain!

  • niice.and r-fier FULL gain??hardcore!lol i have the same amp. very cool amp, right?

  • right!

  • dude, very nice demo! I just bought a JC-120 and I'm wondering if I should have started with the cube :-)

  • Good(& diverse) playing...I had a question though...I bought a 20-watt Cube a while back & it just seemed weak in the non-JC modes...to the point where my guitar (unamplified) was louder than the amp sound(regardless of volume)...is this just a typical combo/modeling amp sound?

  • sounds broken to me! I would go back to the shop where you bought it!

  • try checking your cables first of all for defects or cuts before you send it in maybe try another set if youve got em' too so you can check that off.

  • 4:20 makes me think of 60's california and beaches and babes and cars with red wheels.

  • Phaser with delay!! That is a great sound!

:-) Thanks for sharing that. Awesome!

  • wow.. great amp! im going to buy it soon

  • how exactly do you use the tuner? i'm getting the micro cube soon and i want to know if i should buy a guitar tuner seperate or just use the one on the cube. it looks complicated

  • the tuner is as simple as it could be; it's just a built-in tuning fork. so you have only one (perfect) tone. if you know how to tune a guitar with only one tone (with harmonics for example) I wouldn't buy a separate guitar tuner. if you don't know how to tune a guitar with only one tone; buy a separate guitar tuner.

  • ok, thank you

  • Is that the 15 watt one?

  • nope the micro cube has only 2 watts

  • At the 7:05 mark what settings are you using to get that tone. Sounds like Brit Combo & tons of delay. What about your gain tone & volume though?

  • You mean the reggae kinda thingy?

  • i guess you can call it reggae.

  • I think I used JC Clean with Phaser and Delay. Gain Tone and Volume at about 12 o'clock

  • it's without a doubt the best practice amp for it's size & price. And eventhough it's only 2 Watts, this thing can get CRAZY loud. Tons of gain in this little box.

  • Yep!

  • hoi Tjoppy.

  • got the same ! it's really cool

  • Yep!

  • zo..tjoppy..gaaf ding man..!!wou dat ik zoown versterkertje had!!...keep on coming die video's:D..thanks..groetjes~!

  • Thanks Johnny! Hij was € 109,- nieuw!

  • Hey, nice playing. I have the red one, i think is awesome but can't seem to find good settings for a clean tone. What settings did you use for those crispy cleans?. Thanks in advance

  • Thanks! The best setting I think for a basic clean tone is the amplifier set to 'acoustic' and the tone knob set to a higher level. Good luck!

  • I got a black one (amp) too! I think this amp Is awesome!

And You're very good th the guitar! Please check out my videos with MicroCube!

  • Yes very cool little amp! Thanks Kamil!
