Folks, sorry I've been tardy with comment approvals :( and I've just deleted a couple nasty ones. To the kids that don't want to play nice, get your own page and bash whomever you like but not here in my playground - my sandbox, my rules, and I'll not allow crap talking about my friends. You can exercise your freedom to bash others elsewhere. Shawn is a damn fine performer and a few potty-mouths will never change that!

I wonder if that's the exact same stage that Elvis performed on at the Hilton back in the 70's - i.e. has the hotel rebuilt or altered the showroom since then?

@macdonald671 The "bones" of the stage is the same, but it has been resurfaced as I understand it. The showroom is the exact room, but all the tables have long been gone (the red naugahyde booths and long dinner tables) and replaced with regular stadium seating (more people = more money). Backstage (downstairs) is just about the same with some of the larger dressing rooms being subdivided into smaller ones. @n8trsho thanx for the reply to macdonald :) Yes, been lots of changes - and you're right, the stage has been completely resurfaced except for a little square patch just off stage where Elvis used to stand before performing. There's pics of Shawn floating around on that wooden patch... visually, they're pretty aweome!

ts ironic that the criticism of Shawn is very similar to the criticism of Elvis. Believe me, if they could perform half as wonderful as Shawn they would be doing it. But the truth is they cant hold a candle to Shawn. Just like no one can hold a candle to the King. But Shawn comes closer than anyone on the planet! Keep taking care of business, Shawn. I met him in Memphis in 2002 and he was a real nice cat. He does a great "69-'71 Elvis. He may not have the best ETA voice, but he certainly captures something that from the back of the room makes you think you're watching the early 70's King. Rock on Shawn!

Shawn has so much talent.Beautiful voice, moves, looks and a nice person.

. All members of the band are great. Ross Southerland on the lead guitar is the best person to back any ETA performer.

The Imperials--go's with out saying .. iceing on the cake!! We all would like to see you in Alabama again. Rock on Shawn.....Elvis would be proud.

What i really consider the best ETA is someone who can do all the three eras of Elvis. 50s 60s 70s.

@elvispresley11 I know a few who can pull it off :) but it's tough sometimes to have the 50's voice and look and still do good with the 70's voice and look:)

@kayville007 Brandon Bennett does them all. Admitly Shawn sounds more like elvis but brandons vocal range is better therefor covers all eras.

@elvispresley11 accually shawn CAN do early Elvis..theres vids on here with him doing some..just have to find it..and its great..Shawn is the best ETA out there but the vids that are posted on here suck.the guy is spooky tho..and i would pay to see him before any other ETA.

@Bronte101rules Well it just depends on what you mean by BY FAR THE BEST? Shawn is NOT the best Elvis voice. Jon Cotner is better, so is Arion, so is James Kelley, Jesse Aron, Doug Church and Jimmy Orion Ellis. Shawn has a good voice. Jon Cotner and Arion who most think is his son both look more like E than Shawn. I do believe Shawn has the best MOVES as far as I know. Well doesnt 2 out of 3 things make Jon, and Arion the best? No disrespect to Shawn at all, just how I see it. Mike

@THETIGERMAN2012 - there is no doubt that Jon's voice is the closest to sounding like Elvis that I've ever heard. Sadly, Jon does not tour nor does he do live stage shows, and he doesn't consider himself an ETA. Mr Ellis is no longer with us. I've seen all the other performers you mention (except Arion), and yes, they're all wonderful. Bronte101rules was stating his opinion based on who's out there today, and most will agree that Shawn gives the best live performance.

@THETIGERMAN2012 - Hi Mike, I'm glad to see everyone has their own favorite, just as it should be. I'm not picking by look, voice, moves or aura, but rather by total package and to me, Shawn has it all. Shawn is Elvis to me just as Christian Bale is Batman or Daniel Craig is James Bond.

Just want to say thank you to everyone for your kindness towards Shawn. He's a good friend of mine.... he works VERY hard to give the fans a glimpse of what it would have been like to see Elvis perform, and he's very grateful to everyone for their continued support. Rock on!

It was a great concert and Shawn gave it his all. Truly the best performance. Elvis would have been proud. We can't wait to see him again in our hometown of London Ontario on Sep 30 and in Hamilton Ontario Oct 1 and from then on the Elvis Birthday Tours in Jan/11.
