  • Now that is REAL OLD SCHOOL COOL !! Great job guys !! FLATTIES RULE !!

  • y is it smoking?

  • poor thing. that timing is sooooo bad off. soulds like it too far advanced, struggles alot.

  • whats the value?

  • Nice!

  • Hey, rednosedouchebag....any idea how RARE a Judson for a real V8 is? And someone who knows how to make it work? Tony kicks ass and actually drives this!!

  • What kind of blower is that?

  • Almost sounds like a flat plane crank or a Detroit Diesel 2-stroke V8. I love it! So Judson is the maker of the blower, it's a regular Ford flattie though, right?

  • That''s the second time I have seen one. The only other one I've ever seen was on, I kid you not, a VW Beetle.

  • They were a popular kit for the 50's vw many still around , not super rare.

  • i see them all the time on 50's bugs. this one on the flathead is huge compared to a v-dub one. that thing is cool. yeah, listen to vwaddict about the oiler deal. do a search on the vw setups

  • that is the coolest flatty i have seen any vids of it running properly

  • hm..that sounds like 4 cylinders firing...

  • You got a wicked bad vacume leak there,,thats why it won't idle,,well one reason..

  • If you're going to run this Judson you really need to add an inversre oiler to the set up as well! Marvel (the makers of Marvel Mystery Oil) make a really good one, as well as Alstate (Sears) also used to make them. If you don't you'll wear it out really quick and the oiler also gives great upper cylinder lubrication.

  • Damn! An old Judson! That takes me back!

Motor City Flat Heads is selling the old "Scotts" blowers again, and has a source for new castings.

  • Yea he flooded it also he was giving it full throttle when it was about to start and boging it.

  • Are you winding up the rubber band.

  • beautiful guys that is a very nice motor u got there

  • almost sounds like a lawn mower lol

  • I've never seen a Judson before! How much do they usually go for?

  • I think he flooded it to.

  • Sounds like it just needs a few more adjustments and you will have it right.

  • HEY-dufus check timing- let it warm-up before you-

over rev..the flattie is a cold natured beast- you

have to let it run for 5-10 min.and will settle down-

check timing- it is a little off--set-at 2 deg- BTDC-

or try TDC.. flattie will usally hit twice and start.

    with-or-without choke..

  • HEY MA!! WE need the WEBER CARB NOW!

  • GAWD!!!! I can almost smell it! I love this kinda stuff!

  • Good 2 know that there still are a few motorheads with respect 4 flathead engines...Power up!!

  • Amen---and i have several with flathead power- will

have my 4x4 F-3 out this weekend.with built flattie!

  • A friend of mine (who drove a Bug for God's sake) had a Judson blower. Have to admit, I didn't even know what it was...sad, I know.

  • LORD HAVE MERCY Great to se those old babies still around, some fine tunin to do .

  • Blown flathead.....NOW we're talking!!! :-)

  • Sounds like late timing. Also a fuel filter. New carb gaskets. Maybe more gaskets elsewhere. Good junk!

  • That blower needs to live in Indy

  • was begining to wonder if it was even going to run at all

by the sounds of it, tune that motor up

  • thats just awesome! Love those old flatheads!
