yeah all that time spent on a 305tpi I mean its your car and its your project but you trully could have found a 350 block for not much more and the power applications are endless I have a 383 stroker with trickflow 195cc 65cc chamber air gap intake holley 770cfm 4bbl also have a PRO BUILT 700r4 tranny comp cams 268/280 duration extreme energy and 3.73 rear and I have 450hp and 470tq on average dyno runs

it sits real nice, did you do anything to the suspension? I have a 84 z28 and it is a lot higher than that in the front.

@TheNorthernSoulKing they sound completely different and the only way to make it sound somewhat similar is to delete the cat, and put a new exhaust system on it

@RunninCummins its a really mild cam, only reason it sounds mean is cause the timing is WAYYYYYY off and its open header

for a 305 it definatly had some get up and go, it would get up to speed pretty dang quick, mine ran super rich, and had a lot of blowby, and it ran a 15.2 1/4 mile @ 94 mph

That's 305s but 114.5 in 350s still seems high. You'd figure its not close to the power range

I have a question for the experts. Not always obviously but a small lsa lobe seperation angle say 107 should create more low end power and torque compared to say 113. How do you explain a tpis power with a lsa of 117

@gforcecustoms No, actually the less LSA the more PEAK power you will make but the less OVERALL power.

TPiS Cams are wider in the lobe sep. because they are efi cams which consequently have decent intake and exhaust lobe lifts which make up for the wider LSA.

Most camaro owners (3rd gen) with a carb should go 112, Most with TPI and TBI should go 113+. MOST being the keyword. There's always a tuner out there good enough to make an exception.

I like the XE256 or 262 on both of these engines.

@DirtylittleAJ it sounds nothing like yours because he has no exhaust on it... just open headers. Yours would sound like this too if you unbolt the Y-pipe from the exhaust manifolds.

i have an 88 305tpi and drove it with open headers for a year... quite a headache after and hour on the interstate haha post another vid when you get an exhaust
