I think the main reason why BB didn't age so well is because she was a notorious sun worshipper! Back in those days she probably didn't use sunscreen at all and she had very pale pinkish skin tone that doesn't take the sun very well, but she didn't care.

Granted she does still take care good care herself, after she passed 60 she had lots of work done. Her teeth have been capped, she's had facial work, breast implants etc. After you reach 60, it gets very hard to maintain your looks and most especially as a woman in Hollywood, and most buckle under the pressure and turn to the surgeons knife and needle.....

But, c'est la vie, we change and grow as individuals, age is a part of it.

Oh isn't she (wasn't she) so absolutely amazing and gorgeous! To me is represents the epitome and incarnation of female 'sensual' beauty and sexuality. It isn't just the way she looks, but the way she moves, sounds and carries herself. Her entire aura and energy is sensual. She didn't age well because she stopped caring about her looks and vanity when she retired from the screen and devoted her life for the 'animal cause'.
