@DerrickthePinecone - We want people to know that we are the people who did the work. When hundreds of hours are spent remastering a video. Simply giving it away on youtube feels like we have achieved nothing, so we advertise our work. Most people are happy to watch it or even skip forward for the sake of enjoying a HD edition of the film. We recieve hundreds of messages saying cheers for the great video and then the odd person compains about the add or the watermark. Just enjoy the video
@ckdstv That's quite understandable, and I applaud that. I did enjoy the video, but I enjoyed the video on another channel where there wasn't a watermark in the lower-middle of the video, that is about as distracting as trying to write an essay while sitting outside of a busy airport.
They showed a segment of this as part of the Vancouver Art Gallery's Surrealism exhibit. Great to find the whole thing here... and to see that it's even available on blu-ray!
@cosmocanuck Im glad you enjoyed when we started our remastering projects we decided it would be nice to make some old classics available on HDDVD and BLU-Ray, but we would put them on you tube in HD for free. We put the water mark on the bottom to protect our work, but people have actually complained that our HiDef editions have watermarks on you tube! Im so glad to see that some people truelly are enjoying what we are doing.
