To do cross you sit far back and cross your eyes if you have trouble you can focus on your finger in front of your nose and slowly move your finger out until the 2 pictures become 3 then shift your concentration to the middle picture. For cross its best to make the video full screen and sit far back.
Parallel is harder to do it you want to make the video small and put your face right up the the screen then look way past the screen. Its easier with a laptop normally. If you have problems with parallel you can cheat by looking through 2 paper towel rolls.
If you do the wrong thing you will get some 3d effect but it will be inverted, eg something that's close will look like a hole and something far away will look closest. If your doing it wrong your head will give you lots of rejections. A test can be to stick your index finger by your face and move it to the screen; if you see 2 fingers the whole way you can know your doing parallel if you see 2 then 1 then 2 again your doing cross.
Great video ! Actually easier to keep focus than most of the videos out there :)
Parallel viewing seems to look nicer than cross. It seems the video is a bit bigger. That might be because cross let us see the borders, though. Anyway, this was really cool, as your other vids.
My Mac geek friend (I thought they were supposed to be smart!) can't see ANYTHING in parallel. You would think it would be easier for eyes to view parallel than focused (look @ the sky) but no, the brain is amazing... forces a focus in those in those people. Oh well, he will learn eventually... maybe.
Good stuff - 3D is the future - but parallel free viewing will not be something that most will be able or willing to do. The technology exists - an NVIDIA card and a cheap pair of shutter glasses to view real stereo today - their is a dearth of media outside of games though.
Cross-eyed and parallel-eyed (in this case) viewing is something you realy should try to learn! It's so cool!
Thanks for posting this.
Isn't it a shame that 3d movies en photos still aren't the standard. It was Invented over 100 years ago and still not available for the broad public, because it's too expensive they say... It's allmost like listening to mono music while stereo exists
nice vid! ;)

this isn't a bad animation, its just it doesn't look good in the 3d affect used... would have been better not using it... :-(

this video would be amazing if it was in cross eyed view instead of parallel...

Hello vision3i,
I've heard that videos like this can benefit from having the following tags added:
yt3d:enable=true yt3d:left=0_0_.5_1 yt3d:right=0.5_0_1_1
Yours Sincerely

2 things,
1. this is a parallel video, not cross, in other words it looks alot better with parallel and kindof choppy with cross
2. whats the difference again and how do u do parallel?

I often lost focus whenever bubbles covered the screen, but it's a great video. Thanks!
