Um... It would take up too much time to make and produce, it would cost more money than it would get and there would be a massive row between Marvel and DC about their characters winning - not to mention the uproar from fanboys who moan if their superhero loses...
Magneto has always been able to do this! Creation of his force field, is due to the magnetic force he generates around his body, which can stop anything metal from getting in. He did this in the movies as well, I wonder why you never noticed? The best way to shoot Magneto to stop him in his tracks, is use of plastic bullets, or rubber bullets. Even a smoke bomb encased in rubber would work. Peace out!

Try reading the X-men comic books with Magneto, then show me one fight he was in where he did not have a magnetic force field. Better yet, watch the classic X-men cartoon from the early 1990's, I can promise you Magneto has a force field. He used it in the movie, but it was more subtle . In X-men 1 film he used his force field with Rogue's ability to manifest the weapon to change humanity into dieing mutations. I know what I am talking about bro.
Considering that the Magneto video was made by Raven Software, with a story written by Marvel writers for X-Men Legends II, it has to reflect the true abilities of the chracters... and it's actually a magnetic shield, not a force field, it will only work on metallic objects like the bullets you see in the video, it would not, however work on the plastic bullets that were used in X3.
The computer graphics in the prologue of the xmen game is outstanding. It makes me curious why marvel or dc has not produced an entire movie like this.
