I am so fond of Captain Ed for his skill/calmness with this seriously damaged 747. Capt Ed was able to do what the pilots of United 232 ( which had more damage with no hydraulics) was not as fortunate. Captain Al on United 232 made an almost impossible situation into an incredibly remarkable outcome. Capt Ed totally succeeded is directly related with the asymmetrical settings on the engines. It is sad that Capt Ed has passed away now but I know that he still has his wings in heaven.

Because Pakistan is a nuclear weapons state everyone is panicking that terrorists might get a hold of a weapon and use it; USA and other countries supply weapons to be use in protecting the nuclear devices and weapons.

no, it's not stupid - as if there would be an amnesty, it would cut the punishment from 240 to e.g. 180 years and not from life sentence to 25 years...
which means that after 4 US amnesties, he'd still have to sit for e.g. 100 years, whereas in Europe, he might go home after 10 years or so....

It all depends on where the plane comes from. I remember an episode where a disaster occured in Canada and there wasn't any sign of racism at all.
