What is the meaning for the different uniforms, such as in 5:45?

That uniform the Blitz twins were wearing was a standard uniform of the US Navy. The Naval flat hat, my dad gave me his he wore in the academy during basic training.

This is a very moving tribute and the song touches the soul. Placing the names and photos here make it so personal. And they were so young, never in combat, but in such a horrendous surprise attack, they were professional in the face of fear.
